Return of Reckoning is a continuation of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning with balance changes and additional content. In January 2014, initial work to emulate the closed Warhammer Online started on a project that would later become "Return of Reckoning".

Return of Reckoning is a reimplementation of the Warhammer Online protocol, meaning that none of the original game's server code was used.

New Player Hub: your first steps

Welcome to Return of Reckoning. This guide points you from your first launch to the activities and reference pages you may need. You do not need to learn every system at once.

Start here

1. Install the game using the official download and installation page. For launcher or connection problems, visit the Technical Support Center. Use the current install guide rather than older pinned installation topics.
2. Create a character: read Character Creation, then browse Careers to find a class that interests you. Career pages provide detailed abilities and playstyle information.
3. Get oriented: begin with the opening quests and quest tracker. Zones helps you navigate the world; Quests covers questing and travel.

Understand progression

Your character has several progression and reward systems. Use Progression for an overview and Currencies for currencies used by different activities. Consult those pages for current requirements and rewards.

When you are ready for more

• Craft: Apothecary, Talisman Making, Cultivating, Scavenging, Salvaging, and Butchering.
