Public Quests or PQs are area-specific, ongoing quests that are automatically assigned to each player that enters the area. All players work toward completing that same quest, if they choose to participate.

Public Quests typically involve several (most commonly 3) stages and conclude with a large fight against one or more Hero tier opponents. When a public quest is completed, some of the players who participated will receive a reward based on his contribution, the difficulty of the public quest and a roll.

== How Public Quests work? ==
Return of Reckoning is a reimplementation of the Warhammer Online protocol, meaning that none of the original games server code was used.
•The winners are determined by random rolls, those who contributed most to the completion of the public quest get a bonus added to their roll.Whoever kills the most mobs, activates the most objects or mitigates the most damage by healing contributes, healing has a fairly large bonus to small amounts since healers can very rarely take part in killing or activating objects.Starting at +500 for the highest contributer, +450 for second, +400 for the third and continually decreasing for the rest of the contributors..


•A secondary bonus is also awarded if the player was involved in the public quest the run before and wasn't awarded a loot bag, it is a bonus 100 to the roll for each previous run through of the public quest the player was involved in without winning a bag.

About Return of Reckoning

Return of Reckoning is a continuation of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning with balance changes and additional content. In January 2014, initial work to emulate the closed Warhammer Online started on a project that would later become "Return of Reckoning".

Return of Reckoning is a reimplementation of the Warhammer Online protocol, meaning that none of the original games server code was used.
