Welcome to Return of Reckoning. This guide points you from your first launch to the activities and reference pages you may need. You do not need to learn every system at once.

Start here
- Install the game using the official download and installation page. The launcher uses a Return of Reckoning website account. If you do not have one, create an account. For launcher or connection problems, visit the Technical Support Center. Use the current install guide rather than older pinned installation topics.
- Create a character: read Character Creation, then browse Careers to find a class that interests you. Career pages provide detailed abilities and playstyle information.
- Get oriented: open the Tome of Knowledge (K), choose the Quest tab, and check the quests you want to follow in the Quest Tracker. See how to use the Quest tab and tracker. The Zones page maps the campaign regions by tier and faction pairing.

Understand progression
Your character has several progression and reward systems. Use Progression for an overview and Currencies for currencies used by different activities. Consult those pages for current requirements and rewards.
When you are ready for more
- Build and gear: Equipment and your career page.
- Customize the interface: Addons and Commands.
- Craft: Apothecary, Talisman Making, Cultivating, Scavenging, Salvaging, and Butchering.
- Learn the world: Tome of Knowledge, Armies of WAR, Fortresses, and City Sieges.
