The Sentinel Set
The Sentinel Set is a mid-tier level 40 armor set within Return of Reckoning.
This PvE set comes after the Conqueror Set, and is earned via Dungeons in your Capital City. Like all PvE sets, it does not require any Renown Rank to equip.
Because this set is earned via either Altdorf’s Crypts & Tunnels Dungeon or The Inevitable City’s Bilerot Burrows/Bloodwraught Enclave Dungeon, you cannot purchase any pieces, and must either find them via boss drops or as a quest reward for repeated boss kills.
How to equip Sentinel Armor
To wear Sentinel Armor, you'll first need the Conqueror Ward granted by equipping five pieces of Conqueror Armor or equivalent sets.
There is no specific vendor for this armor set, as the pieces either drop from bosses or are granted for four boss kills via Repeatable quests in Altdorf or The Inevitable City.
Is the Sentinel Set good for my class?
As with all sets, this is situational, depending on your class and build.
Check out the Sentinel Set Bonus to judge how useful you feel this set can be for your character, and your specific playstyle!
Set Bonuses
Wearing 2 or more pieces of Sentinel will grant your character additional set bonuses.
- All Tanks receive the same bonuses, as do almost all Healers.
- DPS also share many bonuses with only slight stat variations based on their damage type. (Noted below in the table.)
(Heal Set Bonuses WIP - these are currently a copy of the Vanq bonuses.)

Unlocking the Vanquisher Ward
The Vanquisher Ward is the second-to-last Ward, and can be unlocked by equipping five pieces of Sentinel Armor. Those are:
- Boots
- Gloves
- Shoulders
- Helm
- Chest
The Sentinel Belt is an optional piece and is not needed to unlock the Ward.
Next stop: Invader, Bloodlord, and Triumphant
The completed Vanquisher Ward unlocks the gates for you to move onto a number of more powerful sets: The Invader Set, the Bloodlord Set, the Victorious Set, and the Triumphant Set.
Each of these routes will grant you the upcoming Invader Ward, and each set has different stat bonuses.
Be sure to check them out in advance and decide which you want to equip while building up your War Crests and Renown Rank!
