Scales of Mourning is a Tome of Knowledge Bestiary entry for the Basilisk.

Kill the Basilisk 'Stinky' (this mob is not a champion) in 'Sulfur Caves' in the northwestern corner of Black Crag at (5k 8k).

Or

Kill the level 39 Champion Basilisk 'Black Scale' (40.7k 38.7k) in Black Crag.

2 other Basilisk entries can be completed near:

Entering 'Sulfures Cave' should also provide the entry Cave of Stone. (Not implemented yet)
