Phoenix Gate stands in the hills of Ellyrion, where High Elves and Dark Elves fight for control of the route into Ulthuan. Take the enemy banner and bring it home, while protecting your own. If both banners are being carried, the bridge offers a way to break the stalemate.
At a glance
| Players | Time limit | Victory score | Points per player kill | Scenario style |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6 to 12 per realm | 12 minutes | 500 | 3 | Capture the Flag |
How to play
- Capture the enemy banner and carry it back to your realm's base to score.
- Defend your own banner. If an enemy takes it, pursue the carrier and recover it when it drops.
- If both realms are carrying the other's banner, take the banner your team is holding to the central bridge and drop it there for a smaller score award. This resets both banners.
- The middle bridge drop locations are marked by statues and were moved to equal distances from the base flags.
Scoring
- Defeating an enemy player awards 3 points.
- Delivering the enemy banner to your base awards points. The bridge drop gives a smaller award when both banners are being carried.
- The first realm to reach 500 points wins. If neither realm reaches 500 before the 12-minute time limit, the higher score wins.
Tips for new players
- Travel with your banner carrier and help keep the route home clear.
- Keep someone watching your own banner while your team attacks.
- When both banners are away from their bases, use the bridge drop to break the stalemate and reset the flags.
- Follow the objective markers and the statues at the bridge. The middle drop locations were adjusted, so do not rely on an old route.
Background
Phoenix Gate guards the entrance to Ulthuan's inner lands. Its hills once held the peaceful horse-breeding grounds of Ellyrion, but the gate and the lands beyond it are now contested by High Elves and Dark Elves.
