RvR Lockout

The RvR Lockout system discourages players from switching realms to gain rewards from both sides of an active campaign. It does not prevent a player from logging into characters of the other realm.

How the lockout works

  • The lockout timer begins when a character gains Renown in a Tier 2–4 RvR lake.
  • The current timer is 60 minutes from the character's most recent Renown gain in an RvR lake.
  • While affected on the opposite realm, a player cannot earn XP, Influence, Renown, Contribution, War Crests from rolls or drops, or other RvR-lake rewards.
  • Scenarios, PvE content, and dungeon rewards outside the RvR lakes are unaffected.
  • Tier 1 activities do not trigger the full realm lockout.

Against All Odds

The lockout has no effect while the player is protected by Against All Odds (AAO). If AAO ends before the lockout timer expires, the remaining lockout becomes active again.

History

The present system was introduced on 3 April 2026 with a 90-minute timer. The timer was reduced to 60 minutes on 14 May 2026, when the AAO and Tier 1 exceptions were also clarified.
