Daemon Moon Bleeding
This page covers the Daemon Moon Bleeding live event only. For the event family and links to its other versions, see Daemon Moon. Other event pages: Daemon Moon Decaying and Daemon Moon Rising.
Daemon Moon Bleeding is the Khorne-themed version of the Daemon Moon event. The 2024 announcement describes a blood-red moon and daemonic forces threatening the Old World. It introduced the event as a new take on an existing live event and said it would join the annual rotation. Event content can change between runs, so check the latest announcement for current dates and details.
Taking part
During the 2024 run, players could take part in the following activities:
- Join your realm in the Goreslake the Bloodthirster open RvR public quest in the Chaos Wastes, while fighting off the opposing realm.
- Take on the Daemonic Gifts of Khorne public quest in the Chaos Wastes. The announcement describes it as a very hard public quest against Khorne's daemonic forces.
- Complete the limited-time event quests and tasks. The 2024 announcement does not list every task objective, so check the in-game event tracker during a future run.
- Complete Imp Games to earn Pan de Monium, or buy it from the event vendor. Each loaf can contain a range of rewards.
- Visit the Suspicious Masked Peddler while the event is active. The vendor appears in the Altdorf Slums and in a secluded room near the Apex of the Inevitable City, and accepts gold and daemon fingers.
Rewards in the 2024 run
The rewards listed below are from the 2024 announcement. They may change if the event returns.
- Basic reward: one of the Bleached Skull, Ivory Skull, Dark Skull, or Crimson Skull trophies.
- Advanced reward: Fiendfang, which boosts renown and experience, or one of three capes: Kulian Raider's Longcloak, Kulian Raider's Shortcloak, and Flesh Hound's Flayed Hide.
- Elite reward: a Manticore Binding Collar, which can be exchanged for a mount. Mount decay timers depend on renown bracket.
- The Daemonic Gifts of Khorne public quest offered the Heart of Rage and Bloodletter Mask. The Goreslake public quest had event-exclusive rewards, including the Mask of the Unmuzzled.
- The event included eleven Daemon Moon masks, available through quests, public quests, random boxes, and player drops. Masks decay into permanent versions without their buffs.
- During the event, players could buy Khorne-themed dyes for gold. Dyes themed around other Chaos gods required an additional sacrifice.
2024 event dates
The official Patch Notes 23/10/2024 identify the event as Daemon Moon Bleeding in the heading and event description. The date sentence in that post mistakenly names Daemon Moon Decaying. It gives the run as 25 October at 12:00 to 4 November at 12:00 Altdorf time; this page records those dates with that source wording noted.
