Daemon Moon Rising is a Warhammer-themed live event based on Slaanesh and the Daemons of Chaos.

Every year, as the fog covers the land and the autumn nights herald the chill of winter, the Daemon Moon rises. For scholars, the Daemon Moon is a dangerous time of year when the threat of a daemonic incursion is greatest. For the common-folk it is a time of revelry and chaos, all in the spirit of the times. Needless to say, the scholars are right to fear what is to come, for during the time of the Daemon Moon, daemonic forces are unleashed upon the mortal realm to play with the lives of the living as they please. This year scholars have noted a disturbing lilac tinge on the Daemon Moon, an ill omen of Slaanesh's power. Slaanesh has danced his way to the forefront of the Chaos forces, eluding the sloth with which his brothers proceed.

This is a time of year when the veil between the Realm of Chaos and the world is dangerously thin, though foolish, naïve folk do not always heed the warnings of their leaders, be they pious priests, zealous witch hunters, or wizard lords. Instead the common folk use this opportunity to play pranks on each other, blaming mischievous daemons of course. They hide behind their masks teasing friend and foe alike, not knowing that lesser daemons corrupt the mind behind the mask. Humans across the Old World, from the bustling streets of Altdorf in the Empire, to the twisted alleys of the Inevitable City in the Chaos Wastes, toy with powers they do not understand. If Slaanesh is to be held at bay, you and your allies must work together to withstand the Daemon Moon Rising.

Resist Temptation - 0/10 The Dark Prince is stirred by the suffering of mortals. The greater the pain, the greater his pleasure. Deny him prolonged suffering by dispatching your foes with a quick death. Complete quests from the Daemon Moon Doomcrier in your capital city to deny Slaanesh his desires.
Defeat enemy players while daemon-masked - 0/200 Wear a Daemon Mask while killing enemy realm players in RvR or scenarios.
Defeat Players while wearing only a Daemon-Mask - 0/10 Acquire a Daemon-Mask and kill enemy players wearing nothing but the mask, for the Lord of Excess demands a good showing.
Capture Keeps While Daemon-Masked - 0/2 Hide your face from the Dark Prince as you vie for control of the battlefield.
Defeat R'nyth the Sweet Whisperer - 0/1 Journey to the center of the Chaos Wastes and defeat R'nyth the Sweet Whisperer, servant of the Dark Prince.
Slay Daemons - 0/200 Slay daemons wherever you find them across the Old World and Ulthuan.
Enter a Place Tainted by the Soul-Flayer - 0/1 In ages past, when the scions of Aenarion were still young and untrained, the Soul-Flayer set foot upon Ulthuan seeking to kill the Everqueen. It was defeated once in ages past, but rumor has it that the Soul-Flayer has returned to the Lost Vale.
Break open Pain de Monium - 0/10 Try your luck with the traditional Estalian bread during the height of the Daemon Moon.
Kill the Ominous Pleasurebeast - 0/1 Accept the quest Ill Omens from Hrolv the Dancer in the Inevitable City Apex to locate the Ominous Pleasurebeast.
Complete the Children of the Mask quest - 0/10 Complete the Children of the Mask quest, available from the Slaughterheart Magus in the Inevitable City.

Exclusive Daemon Moon Rising Event Rewards

The 2026 Daemon Moon Rising event runs from October 30 through November 9.

Basic reward: Crate of Slaanesh Dyes, or Potion of Acclaim.
Advanced reward: the Fiendfang item, which boosts renown and experience, or one of the new capes, Mantle of Ecstasy and Shawl of Rapture. Preview here
Elite reward: Manticore Binding Collar, which can be traded for a mount. Mount decay timers are based on renown bracket. Mount previews; Magus disc previews

Daemon Moon Masks

The event offers 13 masks: three quest rewards, two from the R'nyth public quest, four random box rolls, and four player drops. The individual sources for the last eight masks are not fully mapped. R'nyth the Sweet Whisperer ORvR PQ

The Dark Prince's very own favored one, R'nyth the Sweet Whisperer, has emerged from the Chaos Realm this Daemon Moon. Fight R'nyth the Sweet Whisperer in the Chaos Wastes while your realm holds back the opposing realm. Exclusive rewards for this public quest include the Dancer's Mask of Joy and Dancer's Mask of Sorrow.

Pan de Monium

What are Daemon Moon celebrations without a bit of Pan de Monium? This Estalian bread is specially baked during the Daemon Moon, with bakers leaving small gifts, or tricks, for their unwitting customers. Pan de Monium can be acquired either by completing the Imp Games quest, or purchasing it from the Suspicious Masked Peddler. Pan de Monium contains over two dozen possible rewards, ranging from potions and talismans, to dyes and masks, or perhaps even a precious aegis for the lucky few. What does Pan de Monium have in store for you?

Live Event Shoppe

A Suspicious Masked Peddler has set up shop in the Altdorf Slums, and a secluded room near the Apex of the Inevitable City. This vendor will gladly accept your gold and daemon fingers while the Daemon Moon is up, but please be aware that once the Daemon Moon fully decays, he too will fade from your life. Here players can buy new unique dyes, or a bit of Pan de Monium.

Exclusive Daemon Moon Rising Event Dyes

This event adds 28 dyes, seven for each of the four major Chaos gods. Slaanesh's dyes cost gold; the other gods' dyes also require a small sacrifice. Three event-only specular dyes are sold by the dye vendor for Bittersweet Essence from the R'nyth public quest. Dye previews
