Thunder Valley is a battle for control of a rocky stretch of land and the weapons that can turn the fight. Capture the scattered locations to build your realm's score and earn points over time. The Gyrocopter Hangar gives your realm a way to bombard capture locations, so the fight is about more than simply winning one clash.

At a glance

  • Players: 6 to 18 per realm.
  • Time limit: 12 minutes.
  • Winning score: 500 points.
  • Player kills: 5 scenario points each.
  • Scenario type: Capture and hold multiple locations.

How to play

Capture locations and hold them

Fight for the capture locations spread across the valley. Capturing them adds to your realm's score, and controlled locations continue to generate points over time. Watch the objective markers and move to help your realm capture or defend the locations that matter to the current fight.

Take the Gyrocopter Hangar

Capturing the Gyrocopter Hangar enables your realm to bombard capture locations. Secure it with your team, then use the bombardment opportunity to pressure enemy-held objectives and help your realm contest them.

Scoring

  • Defeating an enemy player is worth 5 scenario points.
  • Capturing locations adds points to your realm's score.
  • Holding locations generates points over time.
  • The first realm to reach 500 points wins. The scenario lasts up to 12 minutes.

Tips for new players

  • Pay attention to the objective markers and help capture or defend locations instead of fighting away from them.
  • Capturing a point is only part of the job. Stay nearby to help your realm hold it and keep its score ticking upward.
  • The Gyrocopter Hangar is a strategic objective because it enables bombardments. Coordinate with your group to secure it and pressure enemy capture points.
  • If your group loses an objective, regroup and contest another useful point rather than trickling in alone.

Background

The Greenskins have discovered a secret workshop in Thunder Valley where Dwarf engineers are developing new engines of war. The valley's capture points, cannons, and bombardments make it a key battlefield in the fight over those weapons.
