The Warband Leader's Mark is a unique currency earned by leading Warbands in Realm Versus Realm.

This currency was introduced in November 2024, and is a bonus for those leading Warbands, with a focus on Public Warbands.

Earning Leader's Marks

All players who lead Warbands can earn Leader's Marks. Players who lead Public Warbands earn them at twice the normal rate.

To earn Leader's Marks, you must first earn points by leading Warbands in Open RvR.

Every 5 minutes, the game will check that the Warband Leader meets certain criteria. As long as you achieve all of these, you'll earn half a point.

The needed criteria include:

  • Warband Leader must be leading a Warband with at least 7 members
  • Warband Leader must be in an active RvR Area (Cannot be in Warcamp, Capital City, etc)
  • Warband Leader must have earned Renown in the past 5 minutes
  • Warband Leader must not have kicked more than 10 unique players in the last 10 minutes (Players using add-ons like Auto-band and mass kicking players will trigger this penalty)
    • If a single problematic player keeps joining a public warband, they may be kicked repeatedly without triggering this penalty.

  • Finally, the system will check to see if the Warband is a Public (Pug) Warband and open to all to join.
    • If the Warband is public, the system will double the points gain for the Leader. (From 0.5 --> 1.0 every 5 minutes)

Points can be earned by Warband Leaders that meet the above requirements in any Open RvR Map, including in Tier 1.

Every Monday, the points will reset and characters who reach specific thresholds will become eligible for a mail containing Leader's Marks. The next time that character logs in (as long as within 7 days), they will get a mail containing Leader's Marks.

Note: Because this system resets every 7 days, if a character earns many Points but then doesn't login for a week or longer, it is possible that they may miss out on Leader's Marks. Be sure to check each week!

Reward Tiers

The more points earned, the more Rewards players are granted, which scale up by tiers. These are:

  • Entry Tier: 1 Leader's Mark
  • White Tier: 2 Leader's Marks
  • Green Tier: 4 Leader's Marks
  • Blue Tier: 6 Leader's Marks
  • Purple Tier: 8 Leader's Marks
  • Gold Tier: 10 Leader's Marks + 7-day Exotic Mount Token

The maximum amount of Leader's Marks that can be earned per week, per character, is 10.

Spending your Marks

To exchange your Leader's Marks, look for the Commander Vendors in both The Inevitable City (Destro) and Altdorf (Order).

Vendors that accept Leader's Marks can be found in Altdorf for Order Players and The Inevitable City for Destruction players.

Leader's Marks are exchanged primarily for Cosmetic bonuses, and can also be spent for in-game boosts to increase Renown Gain.

The currently available rewards are:

  • 2 Marks: 24 Hour 25% Renown Increase Potion
  • 4 Marks: 72 Hour 25% Renown Increase Potion
  • 5 Marks: 100 Hour 25% Renown Increase Potion
  • 11 Marks: 30-day Exotic Mount Token

Of these Renown Potion options, the 100-hour version is the best option, granting 4 extra hours over the other options. The Fleeting Potion of Acclaim offers the lowest time to Mark reward, so it's recommended to save up for the other options.

The 30-Day Exotic Mount Token can be used at the Vendor located next to the Commander Vendor which accepts Leader's Marks. This is used for a limited time special mount which looks different from normal mounts.

FAQ

Q: Will more prizes be added for Leader's Marks in the future?
A: Yes, it's possible that we may expand and add to these prizes in the future. Specifically, Cosmetic Capes are most likely to be added.

Q: What about private or Guild Warbands that only try to open their warband when it's already full?
A: Even for private Warbands that do this, there's a silver lining of their Warbands and leaders becoming visible to all players. As noted, if members drop and they repeatedly kick Pugs who join, they will become ineligible for points in the first place.

Q:Why do Pug Leaders get faster points than Guild or Private Warband Leaders? Don't these private groups tend to throw more weight around?
A: Often yes, and this results in these groups already getting more Renown than most Pug warbands. Our goal with this system is to add something extra for all Warband Leaders, but especially those who are there for new players to rally around and learn from.
