Character Names

Character names are assigned to individual characters, not accounts. To keep a character's name, log in to that character at least once every six months. After six months, an additional grace period of five days per Renown Rank applies before the name is released. See the official 14 February 2025 patch notes for this rule.

For information about changing a first name or surname, see Character Names.
