Warband Leader Crowns

A Warband Leader Crown is a visual marker that identifies a Warband Leader in Return of Reckoning.

While historically many add-ons included this feature, this functionality was added into the base game and UI in the December 2025 Patch.

How to Unlock a Leader Crown

The first step to getting a Crown is to buy the related Pocket item at the Commander Vendor in your capital city.

Equipping the Pocket Item will grant you a Tome of Knowledge unlock. After you've equipped the pocket item once, you can immediately replace it with another.

All players can purchase the Light Green (default) Crown for 50 Gold. There are also additional colors which can be purchased for 10 Warband Leader's Mark and 50 gold. (Full list of these further below.)

To toggle the Warband Leader Crown on, you must first be leading a Warband of 16 or more players.

• Next, open the Parties and Warbands section of the UI, and click the Manage tab in the top right.
• Once here, select the Crown color you'd like to activate from the bottom left of the Manage window.

How the Leader Crowns Work

A Warband Leader crown will appear above the head of an active Warband Leader, and is visible only to the members of their faction. (Enemy players cannot see these, by default.)

In addition to the overhead icon, the Warband Leader will also appear as a moving Map Icon, showing the same color crown they've selected along with their name as they maneuver around the battlefield.

Use these to work together with other Warband Leaders to coordinate, group, or divide your forces depending on what the situation calls for!

Color Choices

In addition to Light Green as the default, there are more colors that players may unlock for 10 Warband Leader Marks and 50 Gold. Those are:

• Red
• Pink
• Gold
• Dark Green
• Blue
• Light Blue
• Purple

Additional colors, and perhaps even types of Icons, are being considered and may be added in the future.

Leader Crown Notes

• Crowns are optional. Warband Leaders can enable or disable their crowns anytime via the Warband Manage tab in the UI. (Pick the "None" option to disable.)
