Pie Week
Pie Week
Toll the bells and throw open the city gates! Caravans of halfling bakers and traders ride into cities to sell their wares and earn a good coin off the hungry stomachs of the Old World. Esmeralda blesses all on this special celebration in her honor. The custom, which originated in the town of Saurapfel in the Moot, has quickly spread across human settlements in the Old World, but particularly in the Empire. Loosen those belt buckles, because Pie Week is all about eating your fill of all manner of pies and washing it down with tasty beer, Esmeralda wouldn't want it any other way!
The harvest season is in full swing across the Moot, the farmed halfling-inhabited breadbasket of the Empire. This season is marked by the festival known as Pie Week, which is also the festival to the halfling goddess Esmeralda, the goddess of hearth and home. All across the Empire Pie Week festivities take place, filling hearts and bellies with joy.
The halfling harvest known as Pie Week is a time of pie-baking contests, pie-eating contests, apple-bobbling, and kiss-scrump. Get in your festive mood and join the celebration in the manner you deem most fitting.
Pie Week is a limited-time Live Event that was created exclusively for Return of Reckoning, and debuted in November 2022.
Celebrated by Halflings in the Mootland, Pie Week arrives with the Autumn Equinox, and honors the Halfling Goddess of hearth and home, Esmeralda.

The RoR Team created the following video that introduces the event and showcases many of the features:
Live Event Benefits
Liniments
One of the key benefits of the Pie Week Live Event are the special Liniments that players can create.
These liniments last for double a normal liniment at a full 1 hour each, and in addition to a convenient way to craft existing Liniments, there are many new Liniment combinations as well.
A list of existing liniments and their new Pie variants can be referenced by clicking here. There are also more than 10 additional, new Liniments that can boost Block, Parry, Heal Crit, and even Range by 10 feet for some classes.
Ingredients and Moot Silver Shillings
Killing enemy players drops Halfling Picnic Baskets, each of which contains 2 ingredients when opened. By bringing these ingredients to Pie Vendors in Altdorf and The Inevitable City, players can get an oven which will time down for 10 minutes as the pie Bakes, and will then place the pie in their inventory.
Moot Silver Shillings are also dropped from player kills, and can be traded for special Armor Potion drinks for all levels, as well as other items like Wood which can multiply the yield of pies when baking. If you purchase Wood from a vendor or another player, just look for the Pie Oven Vendor that requires it in order to get your pies multiplied.
By design, the Picnic Baskets, all ingredients, and all items purchased with Moot Silver Shillings are fully tradable, to allow new players to sell their ingredients and wealthier players to spend their money buying them, raising up the less wealthy players in the process.
Limited time Trophies and Dyes
20 New dyes were introduced in the debut of Pie Week, and each is only available for Moot Silver Shillings during Pie Week.
In addition, players can earn special Trophies for their characters like the "iPomme" from the Festival Boxes earned for winning certain Bobbing Apple mini-game stations.
60 Day Event Item
Players can complete a branching questline that becomes either PvE or PvP focused, and can earn a 60-day Event Slot item for completion.
New Battle Ram Mount
A new Battle Ram was added as the final reward for completing this live event. By default, the Ram lasts for 30 days, but can last for up to 120 days depending on the Renown Rank of the player. (The higher your Renown, the longer the Mount will last.)
Further, killing the level 40 Hero Pig in Reikland grants the party that killed it a 7-day Pig Mount. This Pig has a 10-minute respawn timer once killed.
Bake Pies
Pies
Ingredients: each pie requires 2 specific food ingredients. Food ingredients can be found in Halfling Picnic Baskets. Each picnic basket contains 2 random food ingredients.
Firewood: you can purchase multiple pies at once using an extra ingredient: firewood. When purchasing pies using firewood, and using only 2 ingredient, you will get 2, 3 or 5 pies instead of 1 pie with 2 ingredients.
Firewood can be purchased from a specific NPC at the following prices:
- Hawthorn Wood: 2x pies for 6 shillings (3 shillings per pie).
- Cherry Wood: 3x pies for 9 shillings (3 shillings per pie).
- Oak Wood: 5x pies for 14 shillings (2.8 shillings per pie).
Note: shillings can also be used to purchase Picnic baskets (2 shillings each), that in turn give 2 ingredients each - which means 2 shillings per pie. For comparison, the 14 shillings spent on Oak Wood (which gives you 5x pies) could be instead used on 7 baskets, which is 14 ingredients or 7 pies (+2 extra pies when compared to purchasing Oak Wood). However, the ingredients you get in basket are random and therefore the pies you can make are random. Use firewood if you want to obtain a specific pie multiple times.
Purchasing / Baking a pie: just purchase the items called "pie oven" (which are basically pies) from a NPC, and the "ovens" will automatically take 10 minutes to "bake" a pie in your bag, after which they becomes regular pie consumable.
There are 4 different NPCs selling (or "baking") a specific number of pies each (all pies are identical, only the number of pies received changes): one NPC sells the 1x pie version, another NPC sells the 2x pie version (requires Hawthorn Wood), another NPC sells the 3x pies version (requires Cherry Wood) and finally the last NPC sells 5x pies (using Oak Wood).
Effects
All pies effects last 60 minutes after consumed.
