API:SetOpenPartyWorldInterests

From RoR Wiki

UI Lua API · Social functions
Version: WAR 1.4.8

Registers the player's party in the world-wide open party list with a tier and interests.

SetOpenPartyWorldInterests(tier, interest, specificInterest1, specificInterest2, specificInterest3, specificInterest4)

Arguments

tier
number – Tier, 1–4.
interest
number – A GameData.OpenPartyInterest value.
specificInterest1 … specificInterest4
number – Specific interests: zone, scenario or dungeon ids, depending on interest.

Returns

Nothing.

Details

  • Nothing is sent when tier is outside 1–4, or when the connection is not ready.
  • tier and interest are sent as 8-bit values, the four specific interests as 32-bit values.
  • This function sends the same message as SendOpenPartyWorldSearch, with a different command value: here it sets the party's interests.
  • UnsetOpenPartyWorldInterests removes the party from the world list again.
  • The function needs at least six arguments and only reads the last six.

Errors

None besides the generic Invalid Parameters message when an argument is not a number.

Example

From default/ea_openpartywindow/source/openpartywindowtabworld.lua:

local tier, interest, specificInterest1, specificInterest2, specificInterest3, specificInterest4 = GetCurrentSelections()
SetOpenPartyWorldInterests( tier, interest, specificInterest1, specificInterest2, specificInterest3, specificInterest4 )

The "searchable" check box switches between the two calls, from the same file:

if( ButtonGetPressedFlag( PARENT_WINDOW.."SearchableCheckButton" ) )
then
    UnsetOpenPartyWorldInterests()
else
    if( LastInterestsSet.tier > 0 )
    then
        SetOpenPartyWorldInterests(
            LastInterestsSet.tier,
            LastInterestsSet.interest,
            ...
