Twitch Drops FAQ

Questions about the event:

Q: What are Twitch Drops?

A: Twitch Drops is a feature that allows you to win in-game loot by watching your favorite streamers or any other channel with Drops enabled.

Q: How frequent will the event occur?

A: We have tested Twitch Drops with the community over 3 months. Now that we know what we all want, we'll have Twitch Drops on 3 or 4 occasions per year.

Q: How do I link my Twitch account to my RoR account?

A: In order to link your accounts together, please use click here.

Q: Why were Twitch Drops enabled for Return of Reckoning?

A: Part of our strategy to reinforce our communications, Twitch Drops have been enabled in an effort to support the community streamers and to bring the community closer to: One-another, to the streamers and to the team. Twitch Drops, ads and anything happening on Twitch serves and profits streamers only, never the project. Our project has zero intentions of any sort of direct or indirect profit and refuses any sort of donations.

Questions about the rewards:

Q: What are the rewards?

A: The rewards will always vary from one event to another, with some famous rewards surviving the purge/change. Streamers will always be the ones who have the rewards list, so make sure you ask them on their streams.

Q: What are the types of requirements for rewards?

A: Every event could envelop several requirements for you to do in order to claim rewards. Most known ones are: Watch a streamer for X hours, watch several streamers for X hours and RNG rolls. Different events don't necessarily have the same requirements.

Q: How do I receive the rewards?

A: Rewards are claimed on Twitch and sent to your RoR account. After claiming the rewards from Twitch, head to your Twitch-RoR account page and send the rewards to your in-game characters.

Q: Do unclaimed rewards expire?

A: Yes. Unclaimed rewards will eventually expire. Please make sure to check your rewards' expiry date in your Twitch-RoR account page. In addition, feel free to ask us here or on Discord. Rewards are your responsibility and neither of us want you to waste hours and lose your rewards.

Q: Do I have to watch for consecutive hours to be rewarded?

A: Some rewards require you to watch a single streamer for 5 hours. These 5 hours need to be watched in one day. Other rewards are more flexible, where you can watch different streamers on different days/sessions and the hours would cumulate.

Q: Am I able to choose which character will receive the rewards?

A: Yes, you will be able to choose what character receives the rewards by visiting your account on this site. Make sure you carefully pick the character, we will not refund/transfer anything.

Q: Do I have to be online in-game to claim the rewards?

A: No, you simply have to be watching. You can claim the rewards while being offline in-game. Don't keep unclaimed rewards and don't forget that mails are wiped in-game.

Questions about the streamers:

Q: Will future Twitch Drops events envelop the same approved streamers?

A: Some streamers will be removed and replaced by other streamers. The reason we could remove streamers is based on their activity during and after the event as we're looking forward to support streamers who support the community and its players in return

Q: What if my favorite streamer isn't on the list?

A: Please go ahead and inform them about the affiliate program and ask them to apply. If they are interested, we'll discuss it with them and do our best to assist their channel.

Q: Does following or subscribing increase the chances of random drops?

A: Following or subscribing has no effect on your chances of getting random drops, or any other types of drops.

Q: Does watching a streamer with lower viewers increase the chances for random drops?

A: All Twitch streams have an equal chance of giving these random drops. It's basically an internal system with a percentage that is not related to the number of viewers.

Q: Do we have to unlink and relink when swapping between streamers?

A: Your Twitch account and your Return of Reckoning account need to be linked only once. The link remains until you manually remove it.

Other questions:

Q: Does Twitch Drops affect/delay in-game development/bug fixes/balances?

A: Twitch Drops will never affect any ongoing development, fix or balance patch. The people who work on everything digital are not tasked with in-game to-do's.
