UI Lua API · Window functions
Version: WAR 1.4.8

Sets whether a window can be dragged with the mouse.

WindowSetMovable(windowName, movable)

Arguments

windowName
string – Name of the window.
movable
boolean – true to make the window movable.

Returns

Nothing.

Details

  • When the left mouse button is pressed on a movable window, the client starts moving it, the same as WindowSetMoving(windowName, true).
  • Clearing the flag does not stop a move that is already in progress.
  • movable must be a real boolean. Passing nil or a number raises an Invalid Parameters error.
  • The function needs at least two arguments and only reads the last two.

Errors

  • Error in function call 'WindowSetMovable': Window %s does not exist
  • Error in function call 'WindowSetMovable': Window %s is currently locked and may not be modified from lua. ...
This check never triggers in the current client. See WindowSetShowing.

Example

Locking and unlocking a chat window from its context menu, from ea_chatwindow/source/chatwindow.lua:

WindowSetMovable( EA_Window_ContextMenu.activeWindow, false )
