Creates a new, empty text log.
TextLogCreate(logName, entryLimit)
Arguments
- logName
string– Name of the new text log.- entryLimit
number– Maximum number of entries the log keeps.
Returns
Nothing.
Details
- If a text log with this name already exists, nothing happens. Its entry limit is not changed; use TextLogSetEntryLimit for that.
entryLimitis cut to a whole number and clamped to the range 0–8192.- When the log is full, adding an entry first removes the oldest ones. With a limit of 0 the log never stores any entry.
- A new log starts enabled (see TextLogSetEnabled) and with incremental saving off.
- Logs created with this function are marked as addon-created. Only such logs can be removed with TextLogDestroy; the client's own logs (
"Chat","Combat","System"and so on) cannot. - No error is raised in any case.
Errors
None. Only the usual Invalid Parameters error for wrong argument types.
