Royal Crest Shards is one of the endgame Open RvR currency. It helps to get Royal Crests faster.

Invader Medallion Shard can be obtained from:

Drop loots by killing players with Renown Rank 71 and above within any Open RvR lake. There is a % chance, the player will drop medallion, not a guaranteed drop,
Reward bag from Tier 2, 3 and 4 locking for players who have The Invader Tome Unlock, (???)

Royal Crest Shard is used to purchase the Royal Crest at following vendors:

For Order - Altdorf - Castle - Valenor, Reingard Kolb and Romarich Schaper.

For Destruction - The Inevitable City - Citadel - Vothocan, Strezhyrr and Ruruk Netherflare.
