Specular Dye

Specular Dye is a special type of Dye used in Return of Reckoning which both dyes a piece of armor and also changes the Specular (or reflective light) color on that armor.

Origin

Specular Dyes were created and added by the Return of Reckoning team, and are a new addition not seen on the Live server.

After the first few were created, they have appeared in Live Events and other content in the game regularly due to their popularity.

Specular Layers

The Specular Necropshinx Obsidian dye, seen here on a Chosen, is a dark blue dye with a lighter blue specular shine.

Not all armor has a specular shine layer to it, so some armor pieces have much more noticeable Specular changes when applying these dyes.

It's recommended to use the add on Pocket Palette to preview a dye on your existing armor first before purchasing it, so you can be certain you'll be happy with the purchase before picking up these dyes.
