Lost Vale
The Lost Vale is one of the largest and most difficult Dungeons in Return of Reckoning.

In this Dungeon, players arrive on the Isle of Rebirth to try and rescue or capture the Everqueen of the High Elves, Alarielle.

This Dungeon was rebuilt by the RoR Team in 2025, and took roughly 7 months to create.

The team rebuilt and restored many of Mythic’s original Dungeon ideas, and also added new mechanics, updated abilities, new armor and weapons, and an entirely updated story with full voice acting.

This Dungeon can be entered in Avelorn by boarding a ship.
*Order's entrance is located just north of their Avelorn Warcamp (Map Coords: 40.7k/50.5k)
*Destruction's entrance can is just west of Dark Elf Chapter 12 (Map Coords: 3000/45k).

Before challenging the Dungeon, it is recommended to be in Invader, Bloodlord, or equivalent gear. The Dungeon difficulty is tuned around parties having at least this level of gear when facing the bosses.

Darkpromise Armor
Lost Vale awards players the Darkpromise Armor set, which, new from previous Dungeons, comes in the form of 3 different sets that a player may choose from. These sets are:

* Main Spec (Defensive for Tanks, Healer focused for Healers, Damage focused for DPS)
* Off Spec (Offensive for Tanks, Offensive for Healers, Survival focused for DPS)
* Hybrid Spec (A mix of both of the above sets, with a special group focused bonus included in the set bonus)

When killing a Boss, a piece of Broken Darkpromise gear can be looted from it. The class this piece is for is randomized, and pulls only from the present classes within your party.

Like other PvE Dungeons, you can also get a guaranteed piece of Darkpromise armor (even if your RNG is bad) by taking the repeatable quests found from NPCs at the very start of the Dungeon. Like Bastion Stair, these require 4 kills of a boss to earn.

This Broken piece can then be taken back to the vendors at the start of the Dungeon on the beach, and traded to them for a piece in the set the player wants to earn. Each Vendor has a different set of armor.

For a full list of the Darkpromise Sets and their set bonuses, please check out the Darkpromise Set armor page.

Influence Rewards
Additional rewards can be earned for defeating bosses and clearing the Dungeon via Influence.

A full run of the Dungeon awards 18,000 Influence, and the reward milestones are:

*Reward 1: 36,000 Influence (2 runs)
*Reward 2: 54,000 Influence (3 runs)
*Reward 3: 72,000 Influence (4 runs)

Rewards 2 and 3 grant quest items which award either a choice of a weapon (reward 2) or a backpiece (reward 3) for the player.

*Once a player earns a Weapon or a Backpiece, they then unlock a repeatable quest that will allow them to collect additional weapons / backpieces by running the Dungeon further.

After completing the Dungeon once, don't worry if it looks like the influence bar is filling slower than it should. All influence rewards can be earned within 4 runs of the Dungeon.

New Liniments
Lost Vale adds in a number of new permanent Liniments into the game.

Many of these are 30 minute versions of the previously event exclusive liniments from Pie Week and the Great Feast live events, making it possible now for players to get these even if they aren’t around during the live events.

The ingredients for these new Liniments can be found via:

*Seeds: 10% Drop chance on all bosses, higher drop chance from Treekin or Dryad bosses
*Butchering: 100% drop chance from specific bosses, can only be looted once per run

Expand the table below for a full list of new liniments which can be created in the Dungeon:

Like other Liniments, these are unbound and tradeable, and can be gifted or sold to other players.

Rings
New Rings, similar in nature and spec to the Twilight's Tide Rings, can be earned in the Dungeon by acquiring certain materials and items from bosses.

These were added after player feedback requesting a close equivalent to Twilight's Tide rings be added as a permanent addition to the game.

These rings are slightly weaker than the Twilight's Tide versions, but still close in overall stats and they maintain the crit chance or special stat bonus that makes the rings unique for many builds.

Earning Vale Rings
Like the Twilight's Tide Rings, players can acquire a metal (which determines a Ring’s magic defense stat) and Gemstones.
Unlike the Twilight's Tide event, players do not need to get lucky with a specific Gemstone type, and only need "Vale Gemstones" regardless of the ring they want.

The materials needed per ring are:

*4 of the same Ore type (Copper, Silver, or Gold)
*2 Vale Gemstones

Differences between Metal types:

*Copper offers higher Corporeal resistance
*Silver offers higher Spiritual resistance
*Gold offers higher Elemental resistance

As every character in the game deals different types of damage, you can specialize these rings to offer slight damage reductions against the classes you find most troubling to fight in PvP. (Iron and Platinum rings remain Twilight's Tide exclusive.)

*Specific bosses in the Dungeon will drop the materials needed to trade for these from the vendors, whom are located at the Dungeon's beach entrance.

*There is a guaranteed amount of materials which will drop per run, which are bound and rolled upon by party members.
**If you like, your party can funnel ring resources to specific players by passing on them.

*Players who look for secrets might have a higher chance of earning additional materials.

Finally, every boss in the Dungeon also has a rare chance of dropping an additional material for a ring, even if they have already dropped another.

Hard Mode Achievements
Every boss in the Dungeon also has a special Hard Mode Achievement that players can earn.

Rewards for these achievements are group-based, so if your party accomplishes a Hard Mode achieve, everyone present will earn it.

To see a full list of Hard Mode Achievements, how to earn them, and their rewards, please expand the table below:

Dungeon Guide
The following is a list of boss mechanics within the Dungeon.

The Dungeon was released in 2025 with many new mechanics. You can find a list of those, as well as a Video Guide, below:

<youtube>Wa5gEjoHiZE‎</youtube>

Click above (or here) for an updated video guide created by members of the community!

Key Mechanics (All bosses):

*Enrage Timer: Every boss in Lost Vale has a 6 minute Enrage timer. If not met, the boss will enrage and wipe the group.
*True Damage: Almost every boss in Lost Vale will deal some form of true damage to players, usually the tank. This is damage that cannot be blocked or reduced, and must be healed.

<span style="color:red">IMPORTANT - BEFORE YOU ENTER THE DUNGEON:</span>
* Lost Vale is one of the most challenging Dungeons in the game, by design.
* Some fights, especially near the end of the Dungeon, require strong teamwork and coordination. They are not easy.
* Almost every fight has a unique mechanic which must be respected.
* It is possible to clear the Dungeon in Vanquisher gear, but it is strongly recommended not to use any gear weaker than Vanq.
** Especially in pug groups, going in under-geared will force extra pressure on your team. Make sure your team is OK with this before joining.

<span style="color:orange">General Tips:</span>
* Always ensure your chance to be critically hit is 0% or lower.
**(The renown Trainer even has custom text to help remind players of this - if they read it!)
* Always use Armor Potions and Liniments to help reduce the damage you take and increase useful stats.
* Tanks: Be ready to swap your guard mid-fight. This is especially true for Solo Tanks.
* If your class has Detaunt, learn how it works and know how to use it. Taking only half damage is huge.

<span style="color:orange">Party Composition: Solo Tank or Dual Tank</span>
* Every fight in the Dungeon is possible to clear both with a Solo Tank or with a Two Tank setup.
* Some fights are much easier with a third DPS, and some are much easier with a second Tank and the extra Guard.
* If running two tanks, an offensive-specced secondary tank can be very useful to help ensure your party meets the 6-Minute Enrage timer per boss.

Left Wing
Boss 1: Ahzranok

Ahzranok is a giant lizard that lives on the coast of the Island. This is a fairly straightforward starting fight that requires players to balance both egg mechanics and aggro. Her mate, Lurquasss, is never far and will join the fight after enough time passes.

Key Mechanics:
* Hatching Eggs
* True Damage: This boss will periodically deal 50% of the Tank's HP in a single strike.
* Heal Debuff: The boss will apply a heal debuff onto its current target.
* Aqua Vortex: AOE damage on the party. This can be interrupted.
* Lurquass: After a set period of time, Lurquass, Ahzranok's mate, will arrive. A second tank or high wounds player should pick this up.

Boss 2: Malghor Greathorn

Key Mechanics:
* Writhing Musk: Stepping in Musk will increase a player's aggro on the boss.
**Each musk stepped in will also increase their damage taken by 5%, and reduce their Block and Parry chance by 1%. These debuffs stack.
* Target Swap: Malghor will periodically reset aggro and randomly pick a new target from the party.
* Crawling Musk: As the fight progresses, additional Musk spawns will appear and move towards random players.

Boss 3: The Darkpromise Beast

Key Mechanics:
* Infectious Poison: A random player will be infected with Poison. A white light will glow on them to mark them visibly. When the timer ends, they will be given a stack of Weakened Immunities (see below) and the Infection will jump to the nearest friendly player.
* Weakened Immunities: After being infected, a player's immunities are reduced, dealing damage to them and reducing incoming healing. If then infected a second time, the damage and heal debuff is increased significantly, and if infected a third time, death is almost guaranteed.
* Knock-up: The tank will be periodically sent flying into the air. When they land, they will deal AOE damage to all friendly targets nearby.

Boss 4: Dralel the Whitefire Matron

Key Mechanics:
* Whitefire Parasites: As the fight begins, small spiders with very little HP will attempt to reach Dralel. For each spider that reaches her alive, she will gain a stacking 5% damage buff.
* True Damage: Dralel will periodically hit the tank for 50% of their HP.
* Webbing: As the fight proceeds, Dralel will knock the party back and spin webs around them, preventing them from taking action or moving.
**These webs can be removed with a special ability.

Right Wing
The Right Wing begins to ramp up the Dungeon difficulty, getting considerably more tricky by the end. Here, the party composition (either solo tank or dual tank) can have a big impact on how your party tackles the upcoming fights.

The Right Wing also introduces Darkpromise Blossoms. These small flowers can be interacted with by a single party member once every 60 seconds, and doing so will roll the dice, granting either a Buff or a Debuff.

Boss 5: Chul Earthkeeper

Key Mechanics:
*Aggro Reset: Every 10% HP, Chul will throw the highest Aggro target on the list into the waters below, resetting their aggro.
*Guard-swap: The Tank should swap their guard to the next player to get attacked as the aggro resets. With two tanks, one should always be nearby and available.
*Detaunt: Chul has intentionally lower auto-attack damage than most other bosses. This means that if a healer or DPS becomes his target, they can use Detaunt to further cut this in half.
*Bubbling Blood: A red light will appear on a player. A few seconds later, this player will drop Bubbling Blood, a damaging AOE puddle, on their location.
*True Damage: Chul will periodically deal True Damage to his current target.

Boss 6 (Optional): Larg the Devourer

Larg is an optional boss found in the cave on the right as you progress forward down the river. He has a 100% chance to drop Vale Gemstones, used for the Vale Rings.

Larg also grants 1000 Influence, so be sure to kill him if you're trying to earn the full 18k influence per run for the Influence rweards.

Key Mechanics:
*Guard-swap: Larg will drool hungrily at a random player, and the same shield icon from T1's Dragonback Pass Dungeon will appear over their head. The tank should swap their guard to this player.
**The Guard damage from this attack can be mitigated or blocked, so it is possible for the tank to do so and make the healer's job much simpler.
*Interrupt / Enraged Charge: Larg will charge forward, knocking back all players nearby. This can be interrupted just like a Melee Squig Herder's charge in RvR, so use a tank Taunt or any other interrupt to do so.
*Shared Cleave: The boss will periodically prepare a massive cleave in the direction of the tank. This is a large amount of damage, but it will be divided by the number of player targets the boss hits.
**Have the party stand together as the Massive Cleave hits (the screen will shake when it activates) to survive this.

Boss 7: Butcher Gutbeater

Key Mechanics:
*Tooth Gnoblar: The Butcher will always have a Gnoblar present to help him cook his meals. This Gnoblar can be killed easily but gains damage over time, increasing every 10 seconds. If allowed to continue too long, the Gnoblar will deal massive damage to the group.
*Not my Gnoblars!: When a Gnoblar is killed, the Butcher will say a random audio line and gain a 20% damage increase to all of his attacks. This will stack for every Gnoblar killed during the fight, so it's best to kill as few Gnoblars as possible.
*Into the Pot!: Starting at 80% HP and every 20% afterward, the Butcher will call for an ingredient that he wants added to the pot.
**He will always give the group two ingredient options to choose from, each of which grant a different bonus.
**Click an ingredient in the far section of the boss room to pick it up, then run it into the Cauldron to add it to the pot.
**If your party takes too long or if you add the wrong ingredient, the Butcher will enrage, killing the group.
**Some ingredients are lightweight and some are heavy. Heavy ingredients will slow your speed but usually offer nicer bonuses, whereas lighter ingredients increase your movement speed to the pot.

Boss 8: Gorak the Ancient

Next up is Gorak, a Dragon Ogre and a challenging fight on his own. Be sure to clear out the adds in this room in advance so that your party can take advantage of the wide area to fight in.

Key Mechanics:
*Dragon's Fury: Gorak will periodically buff himself to increase all outgoing damage by 30%. This can be shattered / stripped, so have your Tank or any player with one strip it quickly.
*Forward Cleave: Gorak will Cleave your party, so have the Tank face him away at all times just to be safe.
*Charging Pain: At specific HP thresholds, Gorak will punt players away from him and begin casting lightning on them. This lightning hits each player individually, so SPREAD OUT and DO NOT STACK.
**As he casts this, he will also place a Lightning Puddle on the floor which will deal additional lightning damage to players who step in it. There is a visual lightning strike effect if this is hitting you, so watch for this in case the puddle does not appear.
*Stormsting: At 50% HP, Gorak will summon Stormsting to aid him. This is a Chaos-corrupted Manticore which will increase Gorak's damage by 50% if allowed to be near him.
**If you have a second tank, have this player taunt and pull Stormsting away. If not, consider using a healer or another party member to keep it far from the main boss.
**If you allow both Stormsting's damage boost and the Dragon's Fury to occur, the boss may begin one-shotting party members during his knockback phases. Be cautious!

While it may be tempting to stack everyone up with their back to a single pillar, avoid doing this or the chain lightning will zap you all into crispy, deep fried death. Instead, let the knockback punt you away from each other, as long as its within range of your healers.

Boss 9: Sarthain the Worldbearer

Key Mechanics:

*True Damage: Sarthain will hit the tank for a chunk of their total health. This has a long cooldown, so players can time it to avoid other mechanics listed below.
*Forward Cleave: The boss will deal a high damaging cleave attack every 15 seconds or so.
*Heartwood Cleave: Every 10% HP (except for 50%), the boss will cast Heartwood Cleave, a Shared Cleave that will divide its damage among the players it hits. The party should stack with the tank to split this damage, then quickly move back behind the boss.
**If Heartwood cleave hits only a single player, that player will almost always die.
**The screen will visibly shake and a dust cloud will appear to indicate that the Shared Cleave has been cast.

At 75%, 50%, and 25%, the boss will begin healing due to the three Corruptors standing on the sides of the arena. During this time, three things will occur:

*Draining Vitality: The boss will cast Sapping Vitality, which visually appears as roots popping out of the ground to hit the players. This deals damage, and each hit increases all incoming damage on the player by 5% for 35 seconds.
**Draining Vitality only hits players who are on the island near the boss during this phase. Players away from the island will not get hit with this debuff.
*Heal: The boss will heal up from each of the three Corruptors. Dealing enough damage to these corruptors will pop a bubble back over them, breaking their line of sight and canceling their individual heal. All 3 heals can be stopped in this manner.
**Heal debuffs can also be used to reduce the amount the boss heals.
*Creatures of the Vale: If the entire party leaves the island that Sarthain is on, he will call for the creatures of the Vale to attack them.
**This can quickly overwhelm your group if allowed to continue, so in most cases, try to leave your Tank or another player on the island to prevent this.

It is possible to ignore the Corruptors entirely and burn through the increasing damage stacks, but take note that this does apply to the cleave and Heartwood Cleave damage, making it very dangerous and high-stress for the Tanks and Healers if so.

For most groups, divide up your DPS and have them spread out to handle the Corruptors quickly. Once all three corrupts stop healing, the phase will automatically shift and the boss will stop casting Draining Vitality.

Middle Wing
Once the right wing is clear, players can head directly towards the Middle Wing (entrance is behind the giant Everqueen Statue) and their story NPC will be waiting to mark the correct path.

Boss 10: Zaar the Painseeker

Key Mechanics:
*Cleave: Zaar has a forward cleave, so be careful to face him away from the party.
*Cages: At 80% HP, Sechar will throw a random player into one of the four cages in the room. This player cannot use any damaging or healing abilities while caged, and their teammates must break them out of the cage by dealing damage to it.
**By design, Tank players will always be thrown into these cages last. DPS and Healers will be randomly selected first.
*At 60% HP, two random players will be thrown into cages. At 40%, three players will be thrown in. And at 20%, four players will be thrown in.
*In between cage phases, Zaar will summon Darkpromise Sadomasochists which buff Zaar for as long as they remain alive.
**Focus these down quickly, as they can cause wipes near the end of the fight, especially at the 20% cage phase.
**Remember this pattern of quickly focusing down the dual adds that appear to weaken the boss, as this mechanic is going to reappear at the end of the Dungeon.

Boss 11: Horgulul

Key Mechanics:
*Tank: It is highly recommended to position this boss with your back to a wall, rock, or sturdy object. This will help prevent issues during knockbacks.
*For every 5% of HP lost, Horgulul gains a stacking 5% overall damage increase.
*At 75%, 50%, and 10%, Horgulul will explode, knocking your party back a large distance, resetting all stacks of her damage increase, and spawning Painlings.
**In Particular, be wary of the 10% explosion, as this will hit much harder than all the others. It is recommended to use a Morale tank ability (like Bellows or Immaculate Defense) along with Challenge to ensure your party survives this.
*Painlings are small leeches that should be AOE'd down by your DPS as quickly as possible. If they are not killed fast enough, they will duplicate and continue duplicating until your party is dead.
*Swellspawn: At 40%, Swellspawn appear. These are large, slow-moving versions of the Painlings and do not attack players, but they do spawn Painlings every few seconds, which can duplicate like the rest.
**You can either have DPS quickly defeat these or just ignore them and focus the boss.

Boss 12: Sechar the Darkpromise Chieftain

The difficulty spikes with the Sechar fight and remains high through the end of the Dungeon.

Key Mechanics:
*Aura of Pleasure: At 90%, 50%, and 10%, the boss will trigger the Aura of Pleasure, which deals AOE damage to the party and also causes each player to pulse a heal to any allies nearby.
**This phase is marked with large, thick beams. During this phase, STACK together to get the most of the healing and apply heal debuffs if you have them to reduce Sechar's healing too.
*Aura of Pain: At 70% and 30%, the boss will trigger the Aura of Pain, which deals damage to all friendly players around you every time you cast an ability. This is marked by small, thin lines towards players.
**In this phase, SPREAD OUT slightly to reduce the pressure on your healers. It should still be possible to form a triangle around the boss if you are a melee heavy group, to ensure players can still hit it.
*Adds: Adds will spawn from the Chaos Portal up the stairs. One add in each spawn will be a champion and can do a small punt on the group.
*Darkpromise Stones: At 65%, the Darkpromise Stones up the stairs will activate. Here, your party must make a choice:
**The stone on the right (if facing up the stairs) will slowly reduce your party's outgoing damage, up to a maximum of 40%.
**The stone on the left (if facing up the stairs) will slowly reduce your party's outgoing healing, up to a maximum of 40%.
**If you destroy both stones, the boss will enrage, killing the group. Instead, you must choose to either eat the damage or the heal debuff, destroying only one stone and then suffering the rest until the fight ends.
**Most groups destroy the right stone due to challenges with DPS and the Enrage timer. If your group has healer issues, it is still possible to clear it by destroying the left pillar, but the DPS must carry the fight.

Boss 13: N'Kari

Key Mechanics:
*Channeling Stones: The three non-champion mobs present before the main boss appears will each drop a Channeling Stone tablet. Picking this up will grant your character toughness and a special granted Interrupt Ability, which will be used later.
**Before you kill the Champion mob to trigger the fight, coordinate with your party to decide who will be the first, second, and third interrupts.
**It's useful to also have a back-up player who grabs one of the two extra tablets which will spawn on the couches as the fight begins.

*Positioning: Tanks, the spot that you hold this boss will determine the difficulty of the Orb mechanic which will appear later. You can make your party's life easy or difficult in doing so: it's recommended to hold the boss not far from one of the two stairways leading up. More on this in the Orb section.

Phase 1:
*Massive Cleave: This boss has a 180-degree cleave, meaning anyone in front of and to the sides of the boss will be hit by it. Ensure the tank faces the boss cleanly away from the group.
*Puddles: Players will randomly be given a red light, meaning they will drop a damaging puddle soon after. Try to drop these with your character against a wall so that as much of the puddle as possible is not on the floor.
**Specifically, try NOT to drop puddles on or near the stairways, as these will come into play in Phase 2.
**There are two colors of puddles: Purple and Green. Purple deals more damage, and Green deals less damage but also removes your morale.
*Random Punt: Here, the Punt mechanic learned on the Darkpromise Beast returns, but now it's randomized and can be cast on any player. If you have a detaunt, USE THIS while in the air - it will significantly reduce the damage you take and cause!
**Healers: Absorbs, hots, and burst healing are all very useful to cast on someone who gets punted if you know they are low HP. Ensure they are full health when they hit the ground, then quickly top off the rest of the group.
*Damage Reduction: Until 85% HP, the boss will take reduced damage from all sources.

At 80%, the boss will enter Phase 2.

Phase 2 (Orbs):

*Orbs: Four orbs will appear near the room's entrance and begin to move around the room. Each orb will follow a specific path, though which color moves on which path is randomized.
*DPS: Pick up the Red Orbs, which will double your outgoing damage and increase your AP. There are two of these.
*Healer: Pick up the Blue Orb, which will double your healing output and improve your AP. There will only be one of these.
*Tank: Pick up the Yellow Orb, which will give you a massive HP boost, double your damage, and improve AP. There will only be one of these.
**All: DO NOT stand near the orb spawns at the room's entrance! If you pick up an orb on accident, you're stuck with it, so be careful to watch closely before grabbing one.

All orb buffs last for 45 seconds.

In this phase, the Four Orbs will each follow one of the following patterns:
*One orb will appear and move only a few feet backwards to the doorway you entered at.
*One orb will appear and fly in a straight line forward, stopping in the pool near the Pillar at the back of the room.
*The other two orbs will make a diagonal line for each of the Stairways. If not picked up as they go up the stairs, they will then move backwards on the upper balcony before eventually stopping.

*In all cases, it's most effective to collect an orbs as it flies into you, instead of having to chase after them.
**Because the Orb phases always happen at specific HP %s, your party can use this to prepare for the phase a couple percentage points before it hits.

The Orb is often a little ahead of wherever it visually shows on your screen. Try to stand one second ahead of it to ensure a guaranteed pick-up.

Once your party has collected the Orbs, call for the "Interrupt" in chat or in voice, and the first Interrupt player (used via the tablets) should activate their granted ability while targeting N'kari.

*In this Orb phase, one healer should be actively group healing, as the boss will channel constant damage onto the group. The other healer should get the Orb.
*Skills like "Leading the Charge" or movement speed boosts of any sort are also very helpful.

Once the interrupt is cast, the beams on your party will vanish, and two adds will enter the room. This triggers Phase 3.

Phase 3: Devastate Phase

*In Phase 3, pull the two adds quickly over towards the boss. Just like the party saw on the Zaar fight, these adds need to be killed as soon as possible.
*While the adds are alive, the tank will periodically take 10,000 HP true damage hits. With the yellow orb's HP boost, this is very survivable, especially if your empowered healer with the blue orb is focusing them.
*Because the adds have a decent chunk of HP, your DPS empowered by the Red Orbs should focus them quickly. Once both adds are dead, the boss will stop casting Devastate, and the boss will cycle back to Phase 1.

This cycle of Phase 1----> Phase 2 (Orbs) ---> Phase 3 (Devastate) will then repeat itself two more times as the fight continues. The general flow is:

*80%: First Phase 2 (Orbs, first interrupt used once orbs picked up)
*50% Second Phase 2 (Orbs, second interrupt used once orbs picked up)
*20% Third Phase 2 (Final Orbs, last interrupt used once orbs picked up)

If you have the three phases sorted, there is one final mechanic to manage starting at ~65% HP.

*Conduit: Below 65% HP, the boss will start to draw power from the Conduit at the back of the room. You'll see a visual swirling energy near it and get a text noficiation that the mechanic is starting soon.
**As the boss HP hits 55%, the Conduit will activate for the first time and the energy swirls will become much darker. While active, it increases the Boss' damage (from all attacks) by 1% every second. To counter this, have a single player move to the conduit and interact with it without taking damage.
**Once a player interacts with it, the Conduit's dark energy surges into the player instead, removing their Morale gain and increasing their cooldowns. The cooldown debuff can be cleansed by a healer, but the morale reduction will stay.
**Every 20-30 seconds, the Conduit will once again need to be purged to avoid power building within it. You can use the same player or a different player (up to your party), but remember to use the Dark Energy visual to clearly see if it's ready to be purged. (Light or red swirls mean it's almost ready, but not yet.)

If you have the conduit under control and pick up the orbs correctly, you should be able to conquer this with enough hard work and dedication.

This encounter is one of the most challenging in the entire game, so don't give up, watch each other's backs, and fight until the end!

If you've cleared N'kari, Congratulations - you've completed the main route of the Lost Vale Dungeon!

Boss Kill Achievements
Defeating Wing Bosses repeatedly will grant special unlocks for titles, trophies, and for the most dedicated, special capes. These require significant investment to get, so players wearing them are almost certainly experts of the Dungeon.

These Achievements are granted at:

*1 Kill: Companion Coin
*5 Kills: Bestial Token
*10 Kills: Title
*25 Kills: Trophy
*50 Kills: Title
*75 Kills: Trophy (*Unimplemented)
*100 Kills: Cape

Because Kills are still counted even if a player is on lockout, it is possible to increase your kill counters on bosses repeatedly in the same day if you run the Dungeon multiple times.

The 100-kill capes are also account-bound, meaning a player only needs to unlock these on a single character. Once unlocked, they may be mailed to other characters of the same faction on that account.

*Note: Cape sizes are sometimes stretched or squished a little depending on the height and width of your character. Designs shown in the image are for standard character models.

Custom NPC Interactions
Each faction has a specific moment in the Dungeon where an NPC will deliver a custom line/lines to the party based on the players present. These moments are:

For Order:
*Spirit of Alarielle, after defeating Ahzranok

For Destruction:
*Spirit of...?, after defeating Sechar

In each of these segments, the character will speak differently to the party depending on the racial mix of the players.

There are 7 possible variations for each, which are:

*All Elves (Order) or Dark Elves (Destro)
*All Empire (Order) or Chaos (Destro)
*All Dwarfs (Order) or Greenskins (Destro)
*Two of each race in the faction (Both)
*Mostly Elves (Order) or Mostly Dark Elves (Destro)
*Mostly Empire (Order) or Mostly Chaos (Destro)
*Mostly Dwarfs (Order) or Mostly Greenskins (Dstro)

So, if you're running a race-specific group and it sounds like a line is different or unique... it probably is!

*Boss Sarthain also has custom dialogue on defeat depending on the faction that defeats him. He will ask Order players to find Alarielle, and will tell Destruction players that the forest will always fight them.

Voice Acting

The Voice acting talent for Lost Vale features an entirely new cast for almost all key characters, and even some bosses, expanding significantly on the new voicework first added in Dragonback Pass, and making Lost Vale the most voiced Dungeon ever created for the game.
Artists

Lost Vale's new items, custom mob skins, and upressed Boss textures would not have been possible without the help of many volunteer artists. The team would like to thank the following artists:

*ArchExecutor
*ShevelevAndrew
*EldrielDeAstora
*Kaneda
*Yaliskah
*Jaffawer
*YMJAR
*Flowson

RoR Staff

Finally, special thanks go to the following RoR Staff members who helped Design, Code, Write, and who spent almost seven months bringing the Dungeon to life:

*Ekalime
*Emissary
*R1CH
*MaxHayman
*Kabu
*Zumos
*Dalen
*Bejkon
*Natherul
*Rubius

Mythic Staff

The team would also like to thank the original Mythic staff who designed and built much of the backbone of this Dungeon. Your design for this area was gorgeous, and this rebuild, both of design and mechanics, would not have been possible without it. Thank you.

Trivia
*Enola, the hidden cat is named after the real cat of Emrala's VO kizz0, and her meows <s>ruined</s> <i>blessed</i> many line reads. She appears only in instances where Emrala is present. If you pet her, you will hear <span style=color:orange> </span> meowing and purring.

*Some bosses have hidden ability descriptions for those who look closely enough and read their buff / debuff descriptions. (As an example, have a look at the buff gained by the Darkpromise Beast if it happens to get a kill on a party member.)

*The Seeds which grow into the new liniments are named after or reference some of the core developers who spent their time working on the Dungeon.

*Many mobs and bosses within the Dungeon had their original textures upressed for the re-launch. Fury Mobs in the middle wing, Dralel, Sarthain, Horgulul, and the Final Boss all received special love from the artists who increased their visual quality.

The Hunter's Vale
The Hunter's Vale is a level 40 Dungeon within Return of Reckoning that awards the Vale-Walker Armor Set.

Set within the domain of Kurnous and presumably within or near Athel Loren, home of the Wood Elves, this dungeon punishes those who attack indiscriminately, and rewards those hunters who know when to be patient and strike only what they need.

Entering the Dungeon
The Dungeon's entrance can be found in Ellyrion, with specific portals for both Order and Destruction. Those are:

*Order: 56.6k / 54k
*Destruction: 26.7k / 33k

Once discovered, a head with antlers will be shown on your map to denote the entrance area.

For new players: These number coordinates above reference the numbers shown under "Map Markers" when players open their Map in-game.

Dungeon Basics
* This Dungeon is one of the shorter dungeons in the game, and includes a PQ-style Speed Run timer. Completing the Dungeon in time will grant your party additional items from these chests.
* Wandering monsters, like Cold Ones and Treekin, will hunt your party as you progress the path in this dungeon.
* If you attack random non-threatening mobs, like birds or deer, the forest will go into a rage and additional mobs will emerge from the woods to attack your party.
* Many treekin mobs will split into two smaller mobs upon death.
* Be sure to take the quests before you enter the dungeon! These repeatable quests are used to acquire the Vale-Walker gear, and can be found next to the dungeon's entrance.

Acquiring Vale-Walker Gear
Speak to the NPCs in front of the Dungeon entrance to accept Repeatable Quests to acquire the Vale-Walker gear.

Vale-Walker gear requires first having equipped the Beastlord Set.

Similar to the Beastlord Set requirements, this set will require you to kill both PvE Bosses and also Players. Player kills can be earned in both Open RvR and also in Scenarios.

Unlike most other sets of this item level, this set does not require any Wards, meaning players can wear it even without first picking up Conqueror, Vanquisher, or similar gear. The only prerequisite set is Beastlord.

Influence Rewards
As of the May 2024 Re-launch of this dungeon, the Hunter's Vale now grants Influence and has unique Influence Rewards. These are:

*Basic: Ellyrian Hunter's Satchel: Contains 1 Renown Potion, 5 Armor Potions, 10 HP Potions and 10 AP Potions
*Advanced: Sacred Stag Hide: DPS-focused cape that also contains a Talisman Slot.
*Elite: ? (Secret - will be added in the future!)

This Dungeon now also grants Influence towards the Dungeon Weekly, with Thanan Tree Lord and The Cadathaine Lion granting 2,000 each, and the Spirit of Kurnous awarding 4,000 Influence, for a total of 8,000 per run.

Lore
The Elven God of the Hunt has stalked the mortal lands since time immemorial. Year in and year out, the High Elves gather to honor Kurnous with a sacred hunt, where the best of the best try to prove themselves Master Hunters in the eyes of the greatest hunter of them all.

But with the war raging on, the practice has faltered ... and the God of the Hunt is angry. No longer do skillful mortals hunt to feed their families; instead, hardened soldiers scour the woods and meadows of all available game. No longer do hunters observe the sacred rites; they kill only to test their skills, and leave their prey to rot on the battlefields...

The God of the Hunt can brook no more! The hunter's moon has risen! The horn of Kurnous has sounded! Let those who honor the ancient traditions pay heed—and let all who slaughter with abandon tremble!

It is the Age of Reckoning, and the God of the Hunt will take his toll...

Dungeon Guide
The Hunter's Vale Dungeon has only six major fights, each with some unique mechanics for a party to overcome.

You can find a full Guide on those mechanics and recommended strategies to clear them below. Some general tips for all Dungeons:

*Tanks: Be sure to slot the "Menace" Tactic to double your aggro generation, and use Taunt / Challenge constantly.
*Healers: If you have trouble generating too much aggro, you can slot the Subtlety tactic to reduce this.
*Healers: In fights with AOE damage, you can generally use detaunts to reduce incoming damage on yourself.
*Healers: Parry debuffs, incoming heal debuffs and DoTs are cleansable by all healers.
*DPS: Use add-ons like Aggrometer to keep an eye on the boss aggro. (The tank can only reduce aggro for one teammate, so keep this in mind.)
*Many abilities used by mobs and bosses can be shattered / stripped / cleansed by all players, regardless of class.

While the standard Dungeon setup for stable parties remains 2-2-2 (2 tanks, 2 DPS, 2 Healers), many parties in Hunter's Vale get a little more aggressive.

Many groups often run 1-3-2 (3 DPS) or even 1-4-1 (4 DPS) for very confident parties. Unless you have to complete the Timed Run, remember you can still clear the dungeon with almost any composition!

Click above (or here) for an updated video guide created by members of the community!

First Boss: Durthu Wood-Treekin & Wildwood Treekin
Begin the Dungeon and follow the path through the forest. (Try to avoid straying from this path, as the forest is filled with lots of hungry creatures that will attack you.)

You'll encounter Kurnous as a Stag that transforms as you approach. He'll speak to you for a moment, and then the timer begins.

Follow the path forward until you enter a clearing with two large Treekin in it. The first fight is about to begin!

*This is a Dual-Boss Mechanic.
*As you damage Durthu, he will harden his bark and the second Treekin will come to life instead. Damage the Tree-Kin and the opposite will happen, until finally both bosses are defeated.
*Tank: It is recommended to tank with your back to the nearby rock wall. These bosses do large AOE Punts that will send your party flying, so the rock wall will keep you firmly in place.
*Tank: Adds will join the fight as it continues. Have your DPS AOE them down, and be sure to Challenge them to maintain your aggro.
*Each of these bosses has a defendable forward cleave and defendable AOE damage.
*Healers: Durthu will apply a 20% parry debuff on his target - be ready!

This starting fight is relatively straightforward, with aggro management and tank positioning being key for a smooth start.

Second Boss: Spellbiter
Spellbiter is an angry Sprite who will summon his friends to kill your party. Killing these adds will offer a temporary respite, but he'll summon them back not long after. There are two ways to clear this boss:

*Style 1: Single Target: In this strategy, your team will focus all damage on Spellbiter and kill him as quickly as possible, while ignoring the additional adds.
*Style 2: AOE Unga Bunga: In this strat, your DPS go full AOE and cleave down the adds once the tank has used Challenge to hold them.
*Either style can work, but the key thing to remember here is to let your tank use CHALLENGE before your DPS open on the boss or any adds.

This is a relatively simple fight, and once defeated, the Spites will vanish from the latter part of the dungeon. (Attempting to skip this boss will result in lots of angry Spites later on.)

Third Boss: Thanan Tree Lord
Thanan Tree Lord is a giant Treekin with four Dryads in front of him. Begin the fight by defeating the four Dryads, at which point Thanan will awaken.

*Tank: As with all other Dryads, these will split into smaller adds once they die. Quickly pick these up with a skill like Challenge or an AOE attack.
*Tank: Tank this boss with your back to the Giant tree behind him. This will prevent you from being tossed around by his CC.
*DPS: There are going to be many, many adds rushing into this fight as it progresses. Use AOE to cleave these down once your tank has used Challenge to hold them.
*This boss has an AOE Defendable damage attack and a 20% HP True damage attack. Healers be ready.
*Healers: This boss has a DoT + 50% Incoming heal debuff. It will need cleansed.

Once this fight is cleared, the giant tree behind Thanan will split and fall, creating a natural bridge for your party to pass to the center of the Dungeon.

Fourth Boss: The Three Mothers
As you cross the bridge, you'll encounter vines that block your path. Interacting with these begins the next fight: the trial of the Three Mothers.

*The moment the vines are open, adds will begin to charge your group and will continue spawning. Rush past them, stopping only if they amount is too much for your tank to handle.
*Peregra the Hound Mother has a 30% HP True Damage attack.
*Vorasyx the Wolf-Mother has a 35% HP True Damage attack.
*As you progress, you'll find the Mother Hound first. Killing this will stop the hounds from spawning.
*Next, Wolves will attack as you continue the path. Find the Mother Wolf and kill her to stop the Wolves from spawning.
*Finally, you'll be attacked by Lions on the last third of the path. Kill the Mother Lionness to stop these from spawning, which will allow you to open the final set of vines that leads to the Cadathaine Lion.

Fifth Boss: The Cadaithaine Lion
Make your way past the vines to begin the next encounter with the Cadaithaine Lion.

This fight is mostly straightforward, with managing the extra adds as the key mechanic:

*As the boss HP falls, a Lioness will spawn and randomly target different members of your party.
*Do not kill the Lioness! This will enrage the Lion, who will then wipe your party. Instead, kite this around the room or use only Single Target attacks.
*The Lioness can kited around the arena to CC or slow her. Moving her through an Oakfall Snare will snare her by 40% for 20 seconds, and if she chases you into the rock, she will stun herself for 4 seconds.
*Protect the Pride: The Lioness will deal 50% more damage if allowed to get within 15 feet of the Lion.
*Additional small adds will appear. These can be killed, as long as the Lioness is not accidentally hit. (Her HP is very low, on purpose.)
*Healers: The Lion's Gushing Wound DoT is cleansable by all healers.

Once the Lion is finally defeated, the vines behind him will open, allowing access to the short puzzle that will take you to the final boss fight.

*A Portal will open at the far end of the tree bridge once the Cadaithaine Lion is defeated. This will allow players to jump back to the Puzzle location much faster, and should be useful in case the Eagles decide they want to drop you a little early.

Puzzle Guide
To summon the Eagles that will take you to the final fight, you first need to solve a puzzle.

If you fail the puzzle, you all die - no pressure!

IMPORTANT: One symbol that will be shown on the pillars cannot be seen on the stone circle. This symbol is hidden and covered by mud, so if you cannot find a symbol, stand on the muddy square!

*Step 1: One member should stand on the empty square in front of a pillar. This will highlight a symbol on the pillar. (Shown in the picture on the right)
*Step 2: Next, another member should find the shown symbol on one of the squares in the stone circle, and stand on it. (If this is done incorrectly, lightning will kill the party.)
*Step 3: Next, another member should find another empty square in front of a pillar, and stand on it to illuminate a second symbol.
*Step 4: Now, your fourth member finds the matching symbol on the ground, and stands on it.
*Step 5: Finally, your fifth member finds the last empty square in front of the third pillar, and stands on it to illuminate the final symbol.
*Step 6: Your last party member finds the matching symbol, and stands on it.
*Step 7: ???
*Step 8: Profit! Eagles will now appear. Right click them to be flown to the top of the great tree where the Spirit of Kurnous awaits.

Final Boss: The Spirit of Kurnous
The Final Boss is the Spirit of Kurnous, and this is by far the longest fight in the Dungeon. As of the May 2024 update, this fight is also more difficult than before, so stay on your toes!

All Phases:
*Spears: Kurnous will cast Spears into the air which will land on the floor of the arena. These spears pulse damage which will deal roughly 50% of your HP per hit, so quickly move away from them!
*Healers: Kurnous will cast Shock of Nature on one of your party members. This is a dot that deals significant damage, so cleanse it quickly! Text will appear to alert you which player this is cast on.

Gate Phases:
As you reduce Kurnous' HP, he will run into the Gates that surround the arena. During these phases, shift your damage to the Gates, and be careful to avoid the Spears that Kurnous will throw while you attack them.

Kurnous will trigger a second gate Phase at ~60% HP. During this second gate phase, he will spawn small adds in between the windows to attack the gates. AOE these down and then quickly prepare to hit the gates again.

Final Phases:
As you progress the boss under 50% HP, he will take on the aspect of either a Dog, a Wolf, or a Lion.
As this begins, a Dog, Wolf, and Lion NPC will appear and run around the arena. Clicking one of these will grant your party an associated buff, but be careful -- selecting the wrong one may kill your entire group!

This mechanic is a rock-paper-scissors style game. The pattern is:

*Wolf Beats Hound
*Lion Beats Wolf
*Hound Beats Lion

For non-English speakers, the following are what you should select:

*Kurnous is taking on a Canine (Dog) Aspect: Players should pick the WOLF
*Kurnous is taking on a Lupine (Wolf) Aspect: Players should pick the LION
*Kurnous is taking on a Leonine (Lion) Aspect: Players should pick the HOUND

In the new version of this fight, these aspects will grant every player of the party an active buff that they can trigger. These buffs can be used to support a teammate or prevent incoming damage. Read them carefully!

*Each time that Kurnous assumes an animal form, he will be granted a large absorb shield. Keep damaging him while using the granted ability buff to break the shield and burn him to the next transformation.

*Once you complete three transformations, Kurnous will stop taking on forms and will fight you normally until the end.

Continue burning him until he falls, and... congratulations! You've cleared the Hunter's Vale Dungeon!

The Secret Boss
Search high and low for this Secret Boss for additional Hunter’s Vale drops!
*This boss has a 100% chance to drop one of the new blue seeds, a 50% chance to drop a second blue seed.
*This boss has a rare chance of dropping two 90-day <i>Stag of Kurnous Mounts</I>.

Hunter’s Vale Drops
Drops:
*<b>Stag of Kurnous</b>: a very rare chance to get a 90-day Stag of Kurnous mount when defeating the Spirit of Kurnous. If this drops, two will be awarded.
*<b> New Seeds / Liniments</b>: These seeds can be found at a roughly 10% rate on all bosses within HV, including the optional mini-bosses which drop dyes.
:*<b>The Wild Seed</b>: +60 Initiative and reduces the cooldown of your abilities by 1 sec

The Bastion Stair
Bastion Stair is a dungeon located deep in the Chaos Wastes. Inhabited by demon and mortal alike, the fiends who inhabit this bloody fortress seek the blessings of their dark god Khorne through spilled blood and claimed skulls.

Bastion Stair is an upper mid-tier Dungeon in terms of difficulty, and awards players the Bloodlord Set, which includes DPS-focused Weapons and Armor.

This Dungeon is intended for level 40 players wearing Vanquisher-gear or equivalent.

Entering the Dungeon
If your guild is level 32 or higher, you can purchase an instant Teleport Scroll from either Sigmar's Hammer or The Viper Pit.

If you're too cool for scrolls and prefer to walk, follow these instructions:
*Order: Fly to Chaos Wastes, and follow the PvE road South. Then, go east to reach 64,000 / 60,000 and the Dungeon's entrance.
*Destro: Fly to Praag, and follow the PvE road North. Head to the Tomb of Deathsword PQ in the Northeast, and follow that small road further North to the Dungeon's entrance.

Dungeon Basics
*Similar to Gunbad, Bastion Stair has three distinct wings, each filled with unique bosses to fight and defeat.

*Influence in Bastion Stair, which grants Bloodlord items, is earned only upon killing the final boss of a wing. (It is no longer given out for boss kills along each wing.)

*This means that skipping optional bosses is highly recommended for those looking to optimize their run - just don't ask for The Blood God's opinion.

*Bloodlord Weapons can only be earned via Influence. Bloodlord Armor can be found from boss kills and earned via repeatable quests.

*Thanks to a 2022 Patch that heavily reduced Influence required, you can now earn your first Bloodlord Weapon after only two full runs of the Dungeon.

Bastion Stair Quests
Be sure to take the Blue Repeatable Quests in the first room of the Fortress, as these will give you free Bloodlord Armor pieces after completing 4 runs of the dungeon.

One of these quests will also grant the Stalwart Soulstone, which is used to purchase 7-day duration Best-in-slot Talismans that can be slotted into Sentinel or Triumphant rings.

Lore
"I saw a Stair, surrounded by pinnacles and columns and arches of blood and carven bone, circled by Daemons bound within black iron, brazen steps and hideous shrieking mouths.

All that could speak or gibber vomited forth the praises of Khorne and shrieked out songs of blood and death."

In Return of Reckoning, the Bastion Stair is a dungeon and Fortress of the Blood God Khorne that the forces of Order and Destruction both seek to conquer for their own purposes.

Within, the Knights of the Blazing Sun search for the fabled Spear of Myrmidia, but rumor has it their initial attempt has already fallen to ruin, and even now their Grandmaster is missing...

The forces of Chaos vie amongst themselves for control of the citadel, and the followers of Tzeentch now seek to weaken Khorne's hold and ever-growing power, as Tchar'zanek commands.

Exceptional Seeds
This Dungeon has a very rare chance of dropping six different Exceptional Seeds.

These are Purple-rarity seeds used for Cultivating which can be regrown 250 times, and grant the exclusive Liniments found only in the Bastion Stair.

The drop rate of these seeds is less than 1%, so they are quite rare - if you see one appear, good luck!

Teleports
Quality-of-life Teleports were added in the October 2024 Patch.

You can now teleport to defeated bosses by using the Skull objects at the entrance of the Dungeon.

These are particularly helpful if you disconnect during the Dungeon, or teleporting to a final boss bugs and sends you to your book of binding.

To teleport, simply right click one of the skulls that spawn at the entrance, then catch up to your group!

Aligning with the Sacred Number of Khorne, there are a total of 8 Boss Teleports that can be activated.

Wing Guides
For a list of Bastion Stair Guides, please see the sections below.

As part of the 2025 Re-work, almost all fights in Bastion Stair now offer new Double-Edged mechanics that will make your party take more damage, but also increase your damage in exchange.

Almost all of these mechanics are optional, so stronger groups are recommended to use these to their benefit to make the run faster.

Updated 2026 Boss Guides
The Dungeon was rebuilt in Q1 2026.
Left Wing
First Boss: Borzhar Rageborn
Head down the stairs to find the first required boss of the left wing, Borzhar Rageborn.

Key Mechanics:

*Tanks: Fight this boss inside his room as he will enrage if pulled outside of it. (In the old days, moving him out of the room was standard - now there's a good reason not to.)
*There are two banners in the room with this boss: The Banner of the Herd and the Banner of Blood.
**The Banner of the Herd spawns adds every 15-20 seconds. These can be killed and will grant a 1% movement speed bonus (if not already maxed) per kill, up to 20%.
**The Banner of Blood is a new double-edged buff added in the 2025 re-work. This banner increases the damage that all players and creatures - including the boss - take by 20%.
***If you can survive the damage increase, leave this up to burn the boss even faster!
*This boss will do some AOE damage, so healers should be ready to heal through it, especially if you're leaving the Banner of Blood up.

Borzhar Rageborn drops Blood Gems, used for Iron-Blood rings, and the Bloodlord Amulet, which is a decent DPS jewelry piece but is not part of the Bloodlord Set.

With Borzhar defeated, you can now proceed through the hall at the bottom of the stairs.

As you move forward, you'll spot an NPC named The Collector who will give you a choice of 3 randomized Dungeon Group Buffs. You can pay gold to purchase one for your party.

Second Boss: Gahlvoth Darkrage
Gahlvoth Darkage is a towering Dragon Ogre with a pet bloodhound named Beastrip.

Key Mechanics:
*If Beastrip is killed, the boss will apply the ability "Daisy Chained" to himself, making him deal 30% more damage, but also take 30% more damage while enraged.
*This boss will call down lightning strikes on anyone near him. Once these finish, you will see an electric AOE on the floor - move away from this!
*Curse of Lightning: The boss will periodically announce that a player has the Curse of Lightning. This will apply a green lightning strike on a player, which deals 10-15% of their HP per tick.
**Any healer can cleanse this, so have healers watching and ready to use it.
*After 4-5 AOE's are on the floor, the first to be summoned will begin to disappear. Your tank can follow a circular pattern here and repeat it.

This boss drops the Bloodlord Boots.

Third Boss: Azuk'Thul
Enter the fiery arena ahead of you to confront Azuk'Thul, the next boss.

Azuk'Thul has a very unique mechanic which your healers need to pay special attention to.

Key Mechanics:
*All: Watch out for the Curse of Khorne on this fight, which deals damage back to anyone who casts heal. Almost all heals will trigger this, so be especially careful of hots and small heals. Even non-healers can trigger this.
*Tank: Tank the boss near the platform he starts on, and as usual, keep him faced away from the group. This boss will cleave anyone in melee near him.
*Healers: Group heals work fine on this boss, but watch out for hots (health-over-time) as these will deal much more damage back to you and may kill you.
*At 80% HP, two Orbs of death spawn on either side of the boss arena.
**The player who picks up an orb temporarily increases all damage dealt by 50%, but also reduces all incoming healing by 50% for 60 seconds. This risk-reward mechanic is optional, but very powerful.

This boss drops the Bloodlord Gloves.

One more boss awaits in the left wing!

Fourth Boss: Thar'Ignan
The final boss of the Left Wing is the Doombull Thar'Ignan.

Key Mechanics:

*Tank: [https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/images/b/bf/Tharignan_tanking.png ] where the crumbling floor and dirt meet. (This is important for the next mechanic.)

*For every 10% of HP the boss loses, he will send one of your party members flying to a location in the room and root them in place. Two champion hounds will then spawn and try to kill the rooted player, so your party needs to quickly head to assist them, with the exception of whoever is tanking the boss.

*If your ally who is punted lands near the boss, move the boss away from that teammate (more on this with the healing mechanic below).
**Each time someone is punted in this way, they lose all aggro - so this can be a problem if your tank(s) are consistently unlucky and get punted repeatedly in this way.
**There is no cooldown on this punt and it's purely random, so the same person might get punted 5-6 times in a row.

*This boss will periodically hit his target for 50% of their HP in True Damage, which cannot be defended against. This will happen throughout the fight, so keep the tank near full HP as much as possible.
*If anything dies near this boss - be it an enemy add or an allied player - he will heal for a significant amount of health. Thankfully, he won't reset his punts if this happens.

If you have two tanks, make sure to keep both tanks near the top of the aggro charts (use the helpful aggrometer add-on to see this) just in case one or both end up getting punted and lose their aggro.

*If you have a Solo Tank, you can use the Stones of Aggression, which spawn near the entrance as the fight begins, to rapidly build aggro. Each of these will generate roughly 40,000 hate, so save them in case your solo tank has bad luck!

*Double-Edged Buff - Pulsing Herdstone: There is a Pulsing Herdstone fragment just behind where the boss first stands. The fist player to interact with this will activate a special buff on themselves and any players next to the stone, granting 30% more damage in exchange for 30% more damage taken.
**In addition to the damage bonuses, a player marked with the Pulsing Herdstone buff will also attract two additional dogs if they are selected for the throw mechanic. Provided you have decent AOE dps, this increase should be manageable for most groups.

As with many other fights in Bastion Stair, this fight is a marathon, not a race, and shouldn't give you much trouble if you take it steady.

Once the boss is defeated, loot him to claim the two Bloodlord Shoulders that he drops!

With the boss dead, head back out the entrance and take a left to find a portal back to the main dungeon hub.

Right Wing
First boss: Urlf Daemonblessed
Head up the stairs to find the first boss, Urlf Daemonblessed, a Marauder of Chaos. Urlf's boss room has two skulls which will spawn on altars to either side of him once the fight begins.

Key Mechanics:
*Attack these skulls one at a time to quickly destroy them, then burn him down. The skulls will respawn after a period of time.
*The beginning of this fight is the hardest part, so have your healers ready to focus your group hard until the first skull is destroyed, and the pressure drops.
**If your group is having difficulty surviving the initial phase, one player may pick up the Skull's Blessing at the back of the room. This will grant a 30,000 absorb shield to the player, but then makes them take 50% more damage and deal 50% less healing and damage after it runs out. (It's a very good crutch to help survive the start, but you'll have to pay for it a little after.)
*Stun: This boss will use “Throat Punch” to stun your top aggro member for 10 seconds at a time, which will reset their aggro fully.
**He will constantly make his way down the top aggro list, so be ready for him to hit the DPS while your tanks rebuild threat.
*Orb of Blood: The boss will spawn an Orb of Blood once he goes under 50% HP. Have a DPS pick this up to speed up the latter half of the fight. This will increase their damage by 50%, but also make them take 50% more damage.

The fight is relatively easy, and drops the DPS-focused Bloodlord Jewelry piece, which is not part of the Bloodlord Set.

Second Boss: Garithex the Mountain
As you move forward you'll arrive at a giant symbol of Chaos bathed in crimson light. Here, head straight and then look to your left to find the next boss: Garithex the Mountain.

Garithex has three armor pieces that heavily reduce the damage he takes: The Helmet, Pauldron, and Gauntlet of Slaughter, which are located in a triangle formation around the room.

*The intended strategy is to split your DPS on each of the pieces and then destroy two or all three at once, allowing you to burst the boss for high damage immediately afterwards.
*However, each time you destroy an armor piece, Garithex will reduce the armor of his current target by 25% per piece. This means that if you pop all three pieces, your main tank will take significantly higher damage.
**High avoidance (Block/Parry) can help significantly reduce the incoming damage in this phase, as Garithex has very few true damage attacks.
*The pieces of armor will heal if they get out of combat, so be sure to keep either your off-tank or minor dots rolling on the lowest piece while your DPS burn down the others.
*Aggro Spikes: This boss will sometimes spike huge amounts of aggro to a teammate (usually a healer) -- tanks can save their taunt and use it when the aggro spikes if this is an issue for your team.

Rinse and repeat this process as the armor of Slaughter will eventually respawn itself, and you should have the boss down.

Garithex drops the Bloodlord Boots.

Third Boss: Chorek the Unstoppable
With Garithex down, head back the way you came and take a left turn at the crossroads (on your mini-map, you should be heading West). You’ll find a door that leads into a large open room.

Head to the left and drop off the side, then clear all the adds nearby. Open the large grey door to begin the next boss fight with Chorek the Unstoppable.

This is a dual-boss fight, so if you have two tanks, you can split these two bosses away from each other.

Key Mechanics:
*The Ragebeast, named Juggernaut, is the first choice your group should make. You can kill Juggernaut to remove his CC/extra damage, or:
**If you leave Juggernaut alive, he will apply a stacking debuff to all nearby creatures (both players AND chorek) that increases their incoming damage by 2% per stack.
**If your group is strong enough, you can use these built up stacks to make burning Chorek much faster.
*Armor Shred: Your main tank should start by holding Chorek, but mind his armor shred mechanic, which stacks and will eventually neutralize almost all armor your main tank has.
**If your main tank is dying to this, have your off-tank pick up aggro so that the main tank can wait for the debuff to fall off.
*Tanks: Hold Chorek near the fiery lit brazier nearby. This is done primarily to position you well for the next mechanic:
*Add Spawns + Jail: At 80%, 60%, 40%, and 20%, the boss will spawn Fireborn Sprite adds and randomly select a Non-tank player to place them in the nearby jail.
**Tanks should generally challenge these, and DPS should quickly AOE the sprites down. Once the sprites are all killed, the jailed player will immediately be released. (They will eventually break out of jail even if sprites are still up.)
**If you're taking a lot of damage, use your tank Bellows morale 3 to drop the boss and the sprite damage down to 50% during these sections.

This fight drops the Bloodlord Gloves.

Fourth Boss: Lord Slaurith
One boss remains in the right wing: Lord Slaurith.

Key Mechanics:
*Three colored circles will appear and move around on the floor throughout the fight. Standing in each grants unique stacking effects that help and hurt you:
**The Orange Circle increases your melee damage, but will increase incoming damage.
**The Purple Circle increases your Range and Magic damage, AND grants a 5 second temporary silence immunity, but will increase incoming damage.
**The Blue Circle increases your chance to Block, but will increase incoming damage that does hit you.

The damage increase from these circles is generally not too bad and easily healed, but there is one section of the fight later, called the Warrior's Gamble, where the boss will test your healers.

*At 75%, and at 50%, Icons on the ledges on either side of the room (up the stairs) will pulse red, and the giant Chaos Symbol on the floor will also pulse red to indicate that the mechanic has begun.
**While active, the boss gain will a stacking damage increase, which will eventually wipe the group if not removed.
**To remove his damage increase, these two icons must be pushed within a few seconds of each other. If this works, the red symbol on the floor will immediately vanish.
**Important: Once you purge the icons once, you will gain a warning debuff that says doing so again will weaken you. If the same player does this mechanic twice in a row, they will take 500% more incoming damage for the rest of the fight.
**To get around this, it's recommended to pick two pairs of players and alternate, having one group get the 75% icons, and another get the 50%.

*Bloodpulse: This boss will randomly spawn a Bloodpulse effect on one of your party members. Whoever stands on the "Bloodpulse" will continue to gain huge amounts of aggro, and will become the new tank if they stand in it too long.

*Warrior's Gamble: At 25%, the boss will Champion's Challenge the entire room and begin a 10-second channel called Warrior's Gamble. This hits every second, and may hit hard if you have lots of increased damage stacks.
**To counter this, use your Tank's M3 Bellows or M4 Immaculate defense (if available) to heavily reduce the damage of this ability.
**Healers can also continue healing in this phase, as the boss will no longer cast his AOE silence under 30% HP.

*Select a Champion!: At 20%, a Greatsword will appear near the entrance of the room. The first player to interact with this will become the Duelist for the final phase of the boss fight, which starts at 10%.
**If your party does not select a Champion, the boss will enrage, furious at your cowardice, and wipe the group.

*At 10% HP, the Champion player grows in size and gains additional wounds and a 100% damage increase. The other party members are teleported up to the ledges and gain a new "Cheer for your Champion" ability.
**If you are a spectator, target your Champion while up top and hit the Cheer ability to heal them for 300 HP. This healing stacks from all party members, so cheer hard to keep your Champion going!

As your Champion finally conquers Lord Slaurith (thanks to your wonderful cheers, of course) the right wing is complete!

You'll gain the Bloodlord Belt from this boss.

Middle Wing
The Middle Wing is the final wing in Bastion Stair, and as you ascend the summit of the fortress, you'll encounter two bosses who both grant Influence.

This wing also contains a number of optional bosses, listed below.

First boss: Wrackspite (Optional)
Note: To skip this boss, simply hug the right wall and run through the room.

Wrackspite is an optional boss that most groups skip. He has a 100% drop rate of Blood-Iron.

Key Mechanics:

*Start with the boss in the middle of the room.
**If near the walls, he may enrage and hit your tank for upwards of 10,000+.
*DPS: focus down the statue adds as they come to life, and don't let them reach the boss.
*Tanks: Face the boss away from the group to protect from his cleave. As adds spawn, move the boss away from their location.
*Aggro Reset: This boss will periodically reset his aggro on the tank. It's highly-recommended to use two tanks for this fight to avoid him bouncing to your DPS.
*Terror: This boss causes Terror, so healers won't be able to rez dead allies during this fight.

Wrackspite drops Bloodlord Boots.

Second Boss: Doomspike
Doomspike is the first required boss of the Middle Wing, and is either a dual-tank fight or can be handled by a geared solo tank.

As with all the named Bloodletters in the middle wing, Doomspike also has a 100% drop chance for Blood-Iron.

Key Mechanics:
*This boss fight will spawn an additional sub-boss, Clawfang, a Fleshhound of Khorne and a very good boy.
*The two bosses must be kept within 10% Health of each other and burned down together.
*Tank the bosses near each other to avoid taking increased damage.
*Terror: This boss causes Terror, so healers won't be able to rez dead allies during this fight.

This boss drops the Bloodlord Jewelry piece, which can be useful for some characters but is not part of the Bloodlord Set.

This pair of bosses must be defeated in order to progress further in the Wing.

Third Boss: Zekaraz the Bloodcaller (Optional)
Zekaraz the Bloodcaller is an optional boss that stands in your way as you ascend towards the summit of the Bastion Stair. He has a 100% drop-rate of Blood-Iron.

Note: At the time of writing, this boss can be skipped by sacrificing one team member while others pass the door. Simply rez your teammate afterward.

*This boss has a "Bloodrage" buff that will steadily increase his damage the longer the fight continues, up to a maximum of 400%.
*Move out of the Fire AOE he drops on the ground. (This attack is called "Field of Screams" in your combat log.)
*In indents along the wall of the arena you can find skulls, which can be picked up and taken to the altar in the middle of the room. Doing this will reset Zekaraz' stacking damage buff.
**Skulls should only be taken to the altar shortly before the damage on your tank is too significant to heal through.
**Be careful, as only three skulls can be placed, despite there being four of them. If you use your skulls up too quickly, you won't have enough time to kill the boss before he kills your tank.
**When a Skull is used at the altar, your team will also gain a debuff reducing your outgoing damage, which is a stacking 20% reduction per skull. (As the fight goes on, you'll do less and less damage.)
*Terror: This boss causes Terror, so healers won't be able to rez dead allies during this fight.

This boss drops the Bloordlord Gloves.

Fourth Boss: Kaarn the Vanquisher
Kaarn the Vanquisher is the final boss of the Middle Wing, and as such will grant Influence once defeated.

Note: Some groups choose to save this boss for last, and fight Skull Lord Var'ithrok first, as there's a rare bug that may send you back to your capital city when exiting his arena.

Key Mechanics:
*Tank: Hold this boss on the platform you find him on. If he leaves this platform, his skin will turn to iron and he will take no damage.
*All: Make sure to avoid standing in the red Blood puddles this boss will periodically spawn if a specific totem is up. The tank can move the boss out of these.
*Healers: You can stand further back from the boss to avoid getting hit by his AOE cleaves. Melee DPS will take damage from these.
*Totems: this boss will spawn skull Totems which buff him. There are 3, which appear randomly on the platform above him - to get to these, use the ramps leading up on the far left and right sides of the room. Each totem causes a different bonus for the boss.

You can either DPS him down and ignore the totems if your party is strong, or send one DPS (ideally a range DPS) to destroy them.
*Range DPS can still attack Kaarn from the stairs if he's pulled to a nearby corner.

This boss drops the Bloordlord Chestpiece.

This boss is considered the Final Boss of the Middle Wing, but not of the Dungeon, so note there's still one more boss to go afterward!

Final Boss: Skull Lord Var'ithrok
Skull Lord Var'ithrok is the Final Boss of the Bastion Stair, and behind him looms the Rift of Madness.

*Party Positioning:

Your party positioning is very important on this fight, so start by splitting up your DPS and Tanks into pairs. One tank and DPS stand in front of him, one tank and DPS (or just two DPS if solo tanking) stand behind him. Your healers both stand alone on the remaining two empty sides, parallel from each other.

You can see a visual example by [https://wiki.returnofreckoning.com/images/c/c7/Skull_Lord_example.png ]

Key Mechanics:
*Stay within the Ring of Fire once the fight begins. If your party stays far from the boss for too long, he will reset.
*This boss will give one player an "Infectious Rage" buff which looks like the Bright Wizard's "Funnel Power" skill. DO NOT ATTACK if you have this buff, or you'll kill yourself and everyone around you!
**When a player is given Infectious Rage, this will also appear in the chat window in yellow text and will put a visual Skull Icon over the player's head. (Added January 2025 patch)
*This boss will also periodically place a strong damaging dot on a player which cannot be cleansed. This is called Khorne's Affliction, and the text messages will read: "(player name) is taking extra damage!" (Added January 2025 patch)
**Have a healer focus heals onto the announced player to counteract the incoming damage.
*This boss will periodically punt those in front of him and then aggro anyone else left in the circle. Those punted should simply run back into the fire circle and keep attacking. If you have a second tank, they begin tanking once the other tank goes flying.
*The boss will spawn hounds that should be pulled off the healers and can be AOE'd down by your DPS. Keep these killed to avoid them piling up as the fight continues.
*Solo tanking: If you're solo tanking, have the DPS standing opposite the tank prepare an avoidance Morale 1 skill (like 100% parry) to mitigate damage while the Tank runs back from being punted.

This fight is actually quite simple beyond the Infectious Rage buff, so as long as you take it slow, you should have no problem.

This boss drops the Bloordlord Helmet.

Once defeated, the Skull Lord is pulled back into the Rift, perhaps to be tormented by the Chaos gods for his failure, or perhaps to return even stronger to fight another day... or perhaps both?

Congratulations on clearing the Bastion Stair Dungeon!

Secret Bosses
There are two Secret Bosses that can be challenged within the Bastion Stair.

These are optional bosses, and each has a chance to drop both Purple Seeds for Cultivating liniments and also the Rare Mount. They also both grant additional Dungeon Influence.

To challenge the Secret Bosses, the party must kill three optional creatures, one per wing. Those creatures are:

*Bulrok Headsmasher:
**After defeating Borzhar in the left wing, continue straight instead of turning right at the split. At the end of this path, you will find Bulrok and Squonk, who drop the Skulls of Carnage.
*Hargan the Furious:
**In the right wing, after defeating Urlf and as you arrive at the four-way split with the red Chaos Symbol on the floor, take the left turn to arrive at the feast hall. Hargan is located here, and drops the Skulls of Fury.
*Lockjaw:
**Just before arriving at Zekaraz in the Middle Wing, look to your left as you ascend the stairs to find a non-hostile enemy named Lockjaw. Defeat them to gain the Skulls of Ruin.

Once your party has all 3 Offerings of skulls, you may enter the portal that has appeared near the Dungeon's entrance.

The player with the Offering item should interact with the skull pile to add the skulls to it, and grant access to the next. These skull piles are also positioned to the left, right, and middle, hinting at the wing in which the paired offering may be found.

Once all 3 offerings are given, your party may enter The Depths, where the first secret boss, Murr Deyng, awaits.

Murr Deyng
Achievements
The 2025 re-work introduced a number of Bastion Stair Achievements. These include achievements for:

*Defeating Hard Mode Boss fights one, five, and ten times
*Multiple new Bestiary unlocks
*Defeating the Secret Boss

Additional Tips
*There's a rare chance that you may get ported back to your capital city while exiting the Kaarn the Vanquisher fight. Some groups choose to defeat Vari'throk first, and then double back to Kaarn to avoid this.

*Bastion Stair is usually abbreviated as "BS" in the LFG channels when forming a group.

Special Thanks
In 2025, the Bastion Stair re-work introduced Voice Acting for a number of bosses. The team would like to thank all of the talent who donated their voices for this endeavor, which includes:

If you're a new player in Return of Reckoning, there's likely a lot to take in all at once! This guide will walk you step-by-step through many of the basics of getting started in the world of Warhammer.

Installing the Game
Start by creating an account on the RoR Website.

You can download the majority of game files directly on the RoR Website or via Torrent, and Torrent is recommended as the fastest route.

Once complete, the launcher will download some additional files, and then you'll be all set!

Selecting a Realm and Class
Return of Reckoning is a team-based game, meaning all classes are built to work together with others of the same Realm. It's important to remember that grouping up with others, be it small-scale or large-scale, is a key part of the meta game.

The population of each realm shifts constantly, and often ebbs and flows every few months from outnumbered to dominating. Start with whichever faction you think looks most appealing. (You can always try the other later.)

There are three primary class Archetypes in Return of Reckoning, which are:

*DPS: Short for "Damage-per-second", these are the damage dealers. These are broken into Melee (mDPS) or Ranged (rDPS) damage dealers, with many variations and unique mechanics per class. If you want to kill things or deal the finishing blow, pick a DPS class.
*Tank: The frontlines of most engagements and protectors of their teammates. Tanks in Return of Reckoning gain the ability to intercept half the damage meant for another player onto themselves. If you want to be in melee range in most brawls while also supporting your team, try playing a Tank.
*Healer: Healers not only save their teammates from death but can even resurrect fallen allies in combat. They're crucial for success, and their off-spec allows players to try a more DPS-focused twist on this archetype.

Once you know the Archetype you'd like to try, it's time to pick a class, each of which has different playstyles and quirks.

Serjekk: Added a video guide. More to come!

(WIP)

If you're a new player in Return of Reckoning, there's likely a lot to take in all at once! This guide will walk you step-by-step through many of the basics to getting started in the world of Warhammer.

Installing the Game
Start by creating an account on the RoR Website.

You can download the majority of game files directly on the RoR Website or via Torrent, and Torrent is recommended as the fastest route.

Once complete, the launcher will download some additional files and then you'll be all set!

These are broken into Melee or Ranged damage dealers, with many variations and unique mechanics per class. If you want to kill things, or deal the finishing blow, pick a DPS class.
*Tank: The frontlines of most engagements and protectors of their teammates. Tanks in Return of Reckoning gain the ability to intercept half the damage meant for another player onto themselves. If you want to be in melee range in most brawls while also supporting your team, try playing a Tank.
*Healer: Healers not only save their teammates from death but can even ressurect fallen allies in combat. They're crucial for success, and their off-spec allows players to try a more DPS focused twist on this archetype.

Once you know the Archetype you'd like to try, it's time to pick a class, each of which has different playstyles and quirks. For a full list, please see the Classes page.

Learn the Apothecary skill at the capital city of your realm. The "Apothecary" NPC will teach you the specialization. Pair this with the skills Cultivating or Butchering.

Apothecary
The Apothecary Crafting Skill will allow you to create potions. This Crafting skill benefits most from being paired with either Cultivating or Butchering Gathering skills.

To get started, first head to the Apothecary NPC located in any of the Capital Cities, and speak to them to learn the profession.

Apothecary is the key source of both long-lasting buff potions and also instant health and AP potions, all of which are useful in combat.

Crafting a Potion
To create a potion, you'll need a Container, a Main Ingredient, and then Supplemental Ingredients to stabilize and strengthen the potion.

*Start by opening your Apothecary window, then right click the container you'd like to use.
*Next, right click a Main Ingredient to add it, and then right click to add up to three supplemental ingredients.
*Finally, click Brew! to create your potion.

Volatility
Volatility is the primary hurdle you need to overcome when creating potions. The stronger the main ingredient you add, the more volatile the potion will be by default.

To make the potion less volatile, you'll add Stabilizers, like Zoic Gore or Arboreal Resin.

The bar on the right of the Apothecary window will show you how Stable or Volatile a potion is. Make sure the bar has reached the green section near the top to ensure a successful potion!

Containers
Containers are the vials you'll use to store your potions. Higher level containers will boost both the stability and the power of a potion you create. Expand the section below for a list of Containers.

||||||||

You can buy most containers from the Craft Supply Merchant in either Altdorf or the Inevitable City.

Main Ingredients
Plants & Spores

When you harvest a seed with Cultivating, you get a plant according to the type/level of the seed.

Butchering

Butchering can also grant a number of main ingredients, each based on the mob you butcher. Their strength is based on the level of the enemy mob killed.

Ingredients
Stabilizer

*Stabilizers are needed for most potions, and reduce their volatility. Volatile Potions created without enough stabilizers may go wrong, and can grant negative effects.

Extender

*Extenders are used to increase the time a potion is active. The maximum time a crafted potion can be active is 1 hour. Use these for Armor Potions and potions that buff key stats.

Multiplier

*Multipliers are used to increase the amount of potions you gain from a single craft. If you have a spare slot while crafting, use these to increase your overall potion yield.

Stimulant

*Stimulants increase the chance of a critical craft occurring. Critical crafts boost the strength of the potion(s) you make even further.

Fixer

*Fixers are used in the creation of Dyes. At the time of updating this Wiki page, these do not function within the game.

Leveling Apothecary
*1. Make sure to use Main Ingredients as close to your level as possible. (After Level 25, use Level 25 Main ingredients. After hitting 50, use level 50 Main Ingredients, etc.)
*2. If you're in guild above Rank 21, you can get special Containers and ingredients by talking to the Quartermaster in the Guild Hall in your capital city. (Order: Sigmar's Hammer, Southwest Altdorf. Destro: The Viper Pit, North Inevitable City)
*3. If you're missing ingredients, you can purchase most from other players via the Auction House, or use another character to gather them and mail them over.

Gaining Multiple Potions at level 200
The stronger the ingredient for a potion, the more unstable it will be, and the more stabilizers you'll need to balance it.

*For level 200 Ingredient potions, you can utilize both Majestic Goldweed from Cultivating or Brutal Zoic Gore from Butchering mobs, which has a small multiplier on top of the stabilizer.
*By using Goldweed or Gore to stabilize, you can net 2 potions per craft for level 200 ingredients.
*Example: For creating level 38 Armor Potions, you'd use 2x Stabilizers (Goldweed or Gore), and 1x level 200 Extender. Because of Goldweed / Gore's small multiplier, this will create two armor potions at once.

If you're curious to see the exact numbers for stability of the potion, you can use the Craft Value Tip add-on.
Pairing Cultivating or Butchering?
Apothecary is a crafting skill that needs a gathering skill: Cultivating or Butchering.
You can only learn one crafting skill and one gathering skill per character, so to best complement, you'll have to choose between these two.

Cultivating
With Cultivating, you get plants and spores that you can brew to get:
*Restoration
*Intelligence
*Willpower
*Strength
*Flame Breath
*Molotov
*Invigoration/Energy
*Healing
*Ballistics
*Napalm
*Corporeal resistance
*Spirit resistance
*Stimulant
*Extender
*Multiplier
*Stabilizer

Butchering
If you enjoy chopping up dead things, you can also use Butchering to acquire ingredients for your potions. (Please see the Butchering page for a full list!)

NOTE: Ingredients like Extenders come exclusively from Cultivating, and certain main ingredients (like Scales for Armor Potions) come exclusively from Butchering. To create top-tier potions, you may need to mix ingredients from both gathering professions.

Liniments
Liniments are a special consumable usable at level 40, which lasts for 30 minutes. They require rank 200 Apothecary to craft.

Note: Players can combine effects from Offensive potions, like Liniments, alongside effects from defensive potions (like Armor Potions).
Blue and Purple Seeds
Tied into the Cultivating Profession are extremely rare items known as Purple Seeds. These seeds can be grown via Cultivation to produce materials used in the creation of Liniments via the Apothecary skill.

*Blue Seeds can drop in level 40 Dungeons like Gunbad, Sigmar's Crypts, and Bilerot Burrows.
**These produce 5 grown results via Cultivating, which can then be crafted into 10 Liniments via Apothecary. The seed is consumed during use.

*Purple Seeds drop only from Heroes or higher in level 40 Dungeons like Gunbad, Sigmar's Crypts, and Bilerot Burrows.
**These have an extremely low drop rate (less than 1%), but if acquired, can be used to repeatedly grow the results for Liniment production and do not currently get consumed during use.

When either a Blue or a Purple seed drops, the acquired seed is random based on the pool of available seeds in that Dungeon. Gunbad, Crypts and Bilerot share the same pool of seeds.

In some cases, like the Hunter's Vale Dungeon and the Lost Vale Dungeon, the Blue seeds which may drop are exclusive to that Dungeon.
